Literacy Over many years Wellington has built a commitment

Mobile Phone Policy In line with Education State Government Policy,
Wellington does not permit the use of mobile phones during the school day.
All students will be issued with a locker and a padlock for safe storage.
Phones are to be secured in lockers from 8.30am until 3.05pm.

High Flyers We have identified classes in Years 7, 8 and 9 who are our ‘High
Flyers’ – where teachers and students will prioritise the development of 21st Century skills in their learning.
The Mathematics Pathway program commenced in Year 7 in 2019. This program provides differentiated learning for all students as well as acceleration opportunities from Year 7. Advanced study of VCE Mathematics is available to identified students in Year 10 and 11.
Advanced Placement into other VCE subjects from Year 10 may also occur. This is decided on an individual basis through assessment of student needs and abilities.

Our International Program recognises the importance of globalisation in education in the 21st Century
Up to 100 International Students, predominantly from VietnamCambodia and China add significantly to the multicultural diversityof Wellington Secondary College.
This mix of our total student cohort (50 different nationalities)reflects the strong multicultural nature of the surrounding area, oneof the most diverse in Melbourne.
