Watercolor Artist Yvonne Joyner

Yvonne’s paintings have been shown in galleries in Scottsdale, AZ, Duran-

go, CO and Sedona, AZ, where she has also been featured in one-woman

shows and exhibitions. Being a long time resident of Scottsdale, AZ, and an

avid hiker, she enjoys painting the blooming desert, as well as the scenery

of Colorado.

She is a Silver Signature member of the Arizona Watercolor Associ-ation.

My desire when I paint it to somehow capture the magical, elusive dra-ma of light as it falls on the subject. I’m more interested in capturing the excitement of the light, then the botanical correctness of the plant. This is a “first steps” watercolor class. If you have always wanted to try it but were intimidated

to join other classes, this is for you. Learn the secret of watercolor’s brilliance and the appeal

of its watery nature. Basic building blocks of all good paintings will be covered… Brush tech-

nique, Color, Value & Composition. Most importantly learn to keep it FRESH & discover the

creativity inside you! Supply list upon registration. (Drawing skills not required.)

Four Week Advanced Beginning Watercolor Series: Oct 14, 21, 28 & November 4 Serendipity II second 4-week series. (Advanced Beginner)

The first part of watercolor is WATER! It drips, it flows, it splashes and it has an element of

surprise & excitement! Don’t be afraid of it. Allow this liquid medium to work its magic. Learn

how to let the watercolor paint itself!

Build your knowledge of color, value & composition - the “pillars of painting”, while learning

to paint various subject matter. Loosen up and believe in your inner artist. Classes are a bal-

ance of demonstrations by instructor, student painting time & discussions.
