Event Spaces

Whitehall is your destination for an authentic, artisanal, and intimate Maine event experience. With rambling front porches, multiple patios, and an expansive lobby area to gather and relax, Whitehall offers a uniquely updated venue perfectly suited for your occasion.

Combining our three unique attached spaces, we can comfortably hold weddings for up to 125 people. We also offer the opportunity to rent out the entire 36-room inn for you and your guests.

Main Dining Room Graced with a gorgeous handmade bar and a wall of windows overlooking the private back patio, the main dining room is perfect for rehearsal dinners, intimate wedding receptions, company gatherings, and more. The room offers a variety of set-up options to meet your needs and can be combined with the private dining room and sunporch, as well as the back patio.

Private Dining Room & SunporchPerfect for company lunches, rehearsal dinners, smaller wedding receptions, showers, and more, the private dining room and attached sunporch feel just like a comfortable gathering spaces in a beloved Maine summer home.

The private dining room and sunporch can be opened to the main dining room and backpatio for larger events or closed off for smaller fêtes.

CAPACITY: maximum 40 people total—14 in the private dining room and 26 in the sunporch (attached to the private dining room).

Back PatioA private oasis at the rear of the inn, the back patio flows beautifully from our other spaces and can be utilized as an outdoor space as part of your larger event or for smaller, more casual outdoor gatherings. With a fire pit, comfortable but modern outdoor lounge furniture, and charming patio string lights (not to mention the shuffleboard court!), the space can be set up to suit your needs. Our back patio also makes a lovely spot for a private, intimate wedding ceremony.

We also offer the option to combine the back patio with the main dining room and private dining room and sunporch for larger events.

Whitehall is proud to partner with Café Miranda as our exclusive on-site caterer for all events. Based in Rockland, Maine, Café Miranda offers delicious and innovative farm-to-table catered fare featuring robust flavors and unique offerings. Our event planner will work with you to craft a thoughtful menu reflecting your special event, corporate function, party, or wedding.

Kerry Altiero, chef/owner of Café Miranda, was named the 2015 Down East magazine Maine Chef of the Year and is a recent winner of the Maine Lobster Council Lobster Chef of the Year and Harvest on the Harbor Top of the Crop—Best Farm To Table Restaurant. Chef Kerry is the author of the cookbook Adventures in Comfort Food and is the co-host of NOSH, a VSTV food and cooking show.

Whitehall also offers a full-service bar and licensed bartenders. We are proud to feature many wines, beers, and spirits made in Maine and can help you to source any specific products you may want to serve at your event.

To ensure complete client satisfaction, all food and beverage selections must be finalized no later than fourteen business days prior to the event. Menu items are based on local seasonal options and are subject to change.

Whitehall’s 36 rooms and suites offer the perfect size for reserving the entire property for your own use during your wedding weekend.

• REHEARSAL DINNER: Don’t think of us as just the venue for your wedding reception—think outside the box and offer a casual wood-fired pizza or New England lobster bake for your rehearsal dinner the night before. Options abound, and Café Miranda is happy to work with you to create the perfect night-before-the-event-event.

• BRUNCH: Whether it’s a bridal shower beforehand or brunch the morning after your wedding, our dining rooms or patio can offer anything from casual continental offerings to a full sit-down brunch. See page 12 for a sample menu.
