Ideally situated on the NSW Bouddi Peninsula and surrounded by untouched Bouddi National Park with many spectacular coastal walking trails and pristine beaches, Bells at Killcare is just a 90 minute drive north, or a spectacular 20 minute seaplane or helicopter flight, from Sydney’s CBD.

Wedding menus are specially designed by our expert chefs and like all our menus, are grounded in the core values of simplicity and sustainability, with seasonal

dishes inspired by the produce grown and harvested from our vegetable gardens.

Bells at Killcare consists of a main house housing the event space, restaurant, bar, library, conservatory and facilities. There are 25 designer cottages sprawling across ten acres, which sleep up to 50 guests. Children are able to stay in our spacious Two Bedroom Cottages.

The property also boasts a luxury day spa, pool bar and outdoor lap pool.

This grand space is bathed with natural light, which flows through the large, white sash timber windows, and boasts views of the gardens and swimming pool.

Decorated with stylish Catherine Martin wallpaper and designer curtains, the space has a soft and neutral feel for you to create your own look.

It has a deck that opens out onto the main lawn area from your own private bar, and, at the east end of the room, concertina bi-fold doors lead to a private

outdoor courtyard, complete with cascading vines & festoon lights. The Conservatory comes with a dance space and enough room to seat 120 people or 220 people for a cocktail event.

For more intimate weddings, half of The Conservatory (approximately 40 seated people) can be closed off, or the library can seat up to 18 guests. The Library comes complete with private verandah and fireplace.

Garden ceremonies can be held by the fountain from 4.30pm with all guests seated in the Conservatory at 6pm, for dinner. (It is not recommended to move this time forward. Cottage check-in time is 3pm and a

ceremony is not suitable prior to 4.30pm). From 4pm until 6pm music is allowed in the garden. 6pm onwards music is welcomed inside the Conservatory only. Music is to end at 11pm.

EVENING WEDDINGS

Garden ceremonies can be held by the fountain from 11am, with all guests seated in The Conservatory by 12.30pm, for lunch.

From 10.30am until 12.30pm music is allowed in the garden. 12.30pm onwards music is welcomed inside the Conservatory only. Music is to end at 4.30pm.

The sustainable practices implemented across the entire Bells at Killcare retreat, including the 50 free range hens, which supply fresh eggs daily, saw our restaurant honoured with the Good Living Sustainability Award at the Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide Awards.

Also in the 2012 Sydney Morning Herald Good Food Guide Awards, our fabulous wine list, was named Best

Regional Wine List for its impressive collection of both local and international wines. The list predominantly features Italian and Australian labels. We feel that beverages at weddings and events are best served and charged on a consumption basis. This way, there is no need for you to pay for beverages your guests may not consume.

Produce and ingredients on all our menus are seasonal and change regularly.

The Australian list is dominated by wines of the New South Wales Hunter Valley, reflecting the regionality of Bells at Killcare and the proprietors’ long association with the Hunter.

You and your guests can enjoy eclectic finds from Brian Barry’s longstanding collection. In national competition, our wine list is one of only a few regional restaurants to hold a top accolade of ‘3 Glasses’. We have held this for the last 10 years!

We believe that beverages charged on consumption is best for you. This way there is no waste and you only pay for what you & your guests order.

Beverages should be pre-ordered at least 2 weeks prior to your event. Due to our broad wine list selection we may not have access to larger quantities of our cellared wines. For this reason, we recommend selecting wines available by the glass.

Wines that are sold by the glass are preferred for all large events. Other wines may not be available, unless we have ample prior notice. If more than 1 sparkling wine, more than 1 red and more than 1 white are required, a service supplement will apply. The beverage account is to be paid for, on the night of your event, by cash or card. No cheque payments. BYO is strictly not available. Our bar is licensed until 11.00pm.

Cottages and suites may be booked by you and your guests, according to the usual accommodation policies; i.e. weekends are a minimum of 2 nights & each cottage is designed for 2 people only.

Young children (under 13 years) and babies are catered for in the Two Bedroom Cottages. Children over 13 are able to stay in any of our cottages as long as they are travelling with an adult. We can recommend local holiday houses where children are able to stay, if more space is required.

Check in is 3pm and check out is 11am. No guarantees can be made for early arrivals or late departures. If rooms are required for wedding preparations, we highly recommend you book the night prior to your wedding.

Access to any room is not guaranteed until 3pm due to other guests occupying the room the night prior.

Accommodation bookings must be made with the hotel Guest Services team.

Garden hire cost is $950 for ceremony and pre event canapes

- this includes use of 40 white folding chairs, a signing table, table cloth and use of the grounds for photography. Conservatory hire for all lunch and dinner weddings is $1,400 inclusive of tables, chairs, linen, cutlery, crockery, service and printed menus.

M I N I M U M S P E N D

Minimum spend for any event in The Conservatory is $7,000 (includes food, beverage and garden hire).

E X C L U S I V I T Y

Exclusivity is not guaranteed unless all cottages are booked by your group and the restaurant & day spa are closed for trading. POA. If all cottages and suites are not booked by your group, there is a chance there will be other Bells guests on the property, using the facilities, at the time of your wedding.

P O O L A R E A

We ask that all wedding guests respect the privacy of other in-house guests, therefore the space around the swimming pool is not available for group mingling. Wedding guests must be advised to stay clear of this restricted area.

D E P O S I T S

To secure any event, a deposit of $2,000 is required. Further payments for an event can be periodical or in a lump sum. Our terms require 50% of the costs to be paid 4 months prior to the event, and the balance then due 14 days prior to the event. Beverages are not included in this payment plan and are to be paid for, in full, on the night. This cost can not be charged to your room account. Final attendance numbers to be advised fourteen (14) days prior to the event at time of invoicing. Any reduction in attendance numbers from this time onward, will be subject to charging at the full contracted amount.

C A N C E L L A T I O N S

In the event of a cancellation, a fee will be due as follows:

More than 120 days prior to the arrival date: The deposit will be refunded if the booked time is resold to another wedding function.

Between 61 days and 119 days, inclusive of the arrival date: 25% of the contracted amount.

Between 30 days and 60 days, inclusive, of the arrival date: 75% of the contracted amount.

Within 7 days of the arrival date: 100% of the contracted amount.
