OLABISI ONABANJO UNIVERSITY FIREFOX CLUB EVENT (TAGGED: ONLINE PRIVACY)

15th of February, 2016 @ Olabisi Onabanjo University Campus

The Firefox Student Ambassador of the aforementioned institution in the person MR OYEWOLE EMMANUEL OLUWASEGUN (club lead) and MR BARA EZEKIEL FAITH, organize the event on ONLINE PRIVACY.

The FSAs went straight to the H.O.DS office with the representative from CYBERSPACE NETWORK LIMITED, one of our guest speakers in the event, the person of Mr Praise Opeyemi Victor (Senior LTE RF Engineer).

The registration process started at 10am, all participants were registered and we have more than 250 participants in the event. The program fully started after the registration process at 10:20am.

The opening prayer was taken by the FSA Mr Bara Ezekiel Faith.

Opening Address was taken by Dr Bayo Agunbiade (H.O.D Mathematical Sciences Department). He officially welcomes the guest speakers, the lecturers and the student at large. He encouraged everybody present in the event to be calm, and be of great expectant.

The Introduction of Mozilla Firefox was taken by FSA and Mozilla Rep MR OYEWOLE EMMANUEL OLUWASEGUN. He spoke about Mozilla, the Mozilla mission, Mozilla Product and Project and the contributing areas in Mozilla. He listed out the Mozilla product and project in a slide presentation and made proper explanations on the following:

Firefox

Firefox for Android

Firefox OS

Bugzilla

Webmaker

Persona. Among others.

He also listed out some areas in Mozilla such as:

Add-ons

Coding

Localization

Web development. And lots more.

He ended the section by providing answers to questions from the participant.

The next speaker (Dr Peter Ogunyinka of Mathematical sciences, Olabisi Onabanjo University), spoke about CHOOSING A CAREER IN ICT. Where he unfold many reason why students need to get involve in technology and to understand their various area of interest. He motivated all participants during his presentations and gave adequate answers to all questions.

The FSA and Mozilla Rep (MR OYEWOLE EMMANUEL OLUWASEGUN) continued the event and gave speech on PRIVACY ON THE WEB (ONLINE PRIVACY). Where he discussed the following points:
