Week 9

There are two minions.

to- used to say where someone or something goes.

We need to go grocery shopping.

too- another work for also or more than is possible.

Dogs like to skateboard too.

allowed- to be given permission.

You are allowed to take AR tests during certain times.

aloud- to say something that others can hear.

I’ve read Frindle aloud to you before Daily 5.

plane- a vehicle that flies in the air.

Traveling by plane is faster than driving.

plain- a person who isn’t fancy.

Sarah describes her appearance as plain.

new- something that is recently made, designed, or bought.

Frontier has new swings on its playground.

knew- the past tense of know.

The students knew the answer to the question.

see- using your eyes to view or examine something.

I see twenty bright students in front of me.

sea- the large area of salty water that covers much of the earth's surface.

Sarah missed the sea.

earthquake- when pressure builds up in rocks deep below the ground. When the rocks release their pressure it causes a sudden shaking in the ground.
