Activity 2 – what am I?

Level:

Grade 2 and above.

Justification:

How can work?

Children sit in circle.

Each learner have piece of paper and pencil.

Each student write any word related to the subject

(mother, father) – without showing their friends

(should be secret).

Post the paper on her friend forehead who set next

her.

Work in pairs – one of these two learners should ask

other student closed questions (yes – no), ex. Am I

women?, am I old?

Each student have chance to ask any three questions

only.

I choose this activity because I want to help the learners to

interact with each other they acquire a lot of experience.

According to Vygotsky interaction theories which says

important for children to interact with each other while they

are learning to learn more from each other (Berk, 2009).

Objectives:

Wants the learners to improve their levels of pronunciation

the words.

Gives the student chance to listen carefully to other learners

what did they says to give right answers – and increase their

listening and speaking skills.

Try to improve the learners ability to ask questions.

Instructions:

Ask the learners to sit in circle - and be quite.

Ask the learners to write any one word on the piece of paper

– and closed then give it to her friend next her.

Activity 1 – play telephone

Level:

Grade 1 and above.

Justification:

How can work?

The student sits on circle.

Choose one of the learners to be a speaker through the

phone.

Give the speaker a sentence.

Give first student other phone, let her to listen

carefully what the speaker said.

First student whisper what she heard from the speaker

through the phone to second student.

Second learner whisper what she heard from first

student.. etc, until arrived to last student.

Last student say the sentence in loud voice.

I choose this activity because I want to help the student to

improve their self esteem levels and to be more confidence

when they speak front of all and other learners listen

carefully to her and her voice are clearly. As Kyriacou

mentioned the teachers are most important for the fostering

pupils to build their self-esteem ( Kyriacou, 2007).

Objectives:

Gives the learners chance to interact with each other and

develop their listening skills.

Instructions:

Ask the learners to sit in circle – and be quite to listen clearly

what their friend whisper to them.

Ask last learner to say in loudly voice what the speaker said.

Give the learners the title of the story – related to the

subject.

Ask first learner to begin the story with one sentence.

Second learner should repeat first student sentence

and add one more sentence…. Etc.

Until arrive to last student and should say whole story.

I choose this activity because I want the learners to improve

their listening and English skills by the repeating (Tiedt, Tiedt,

& Tiedt, 2001).

Level:

Grade 1 and above.

Justification:

How can work?

The learners sit in their seats.

Teacher tells the student to repeat the sentences after

she finished.

The teacher call one sentence, then the student repeat

it. Ex. Teacher: this is my cat. – Student: this is my cat.

I found this activity from book.

I choose this activity because I want to cover two or three

learning style of the learners and I want from them to learn

and understand the lesson, as you know you will found

different learning style learners and each child has different

learning style (Kyriacou, 2007).
