Introducing Blaine and Jill Tate We, Blaine & Jill, have been married almost 18 years. We
have 7 awesome kids! Lilly (17), Robin (14), Carley (11),
Nate (8), Mack (6), Halaina (5), and Henry (8 months).
During the day, Blaine works machine maintenance at
Tuffys Pet Foods, in Perham MN. When he is not there, he’s
usually at home working on our hobby farm, in his garden,
or
remodeling something on our property. He can also be
found doing some sort of handyman-fixit projects for us or our friends.
Jill homeschools our children, and keeps up the home life. The children and Jill have
a Concession Wagon. In the summer and fall, we sell mini donuts, shaved ice, and
fancy coffee drinks. She enjoys preserving, in the form of canning, all the vegetables
from Blaine’s GIGANTIC garden!
As a family, we love to throw BIG parties and have lots of people over, especially in
the summer! We also love to garage sale, thrift store shop, work on our homestead,
and talk about life over coffee and hot chocolate!
Our lives revolve around Faith, Family and Friends. We have been attending
Faithbridge Church in some form for about 10 years. Mops, Awana, Sunday School,
Children’s Church, and Youth Group are some of the activities we’ve been involved in.
To us, the # 1 most important thing is that all of our children and grandchildren have
a personal relationship with Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior. There is no better legacy
to leave, than to have all of our loved ones experiencing everlasting life with the One
who created them! “Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labor in vain.” Ps.127:1

A word from the Word by Pastor Dave
PAGE 4
Having trouble making a decision? Too many
choices or responsibilities coming your way?
“I have decided to follow Jesus,
I have decided to follow Jesus,
I have decided to follow Jesus,
No turning back, no turning back.”
How often have we glibly sung these words, and then walked away
to do “our own thing?” Do you agree with this quote? “Not mak-
ing a decision is actually a decision. It’s the decision to stay
the same. “ *
Have you ever thought of that? What kind of spiritual decisions are
you and I putting off? Rather, what kind of spiritual decisions are
left begging because we are choosing to stay the same? Do you wish
you had a deeper, stronger, active prayer life? Do you wish you
knew the Bible well enough to share with others? Is it your desire to
be more disciplined in maintaining a daily quiet time of meeting
God? Are these just wishes or are you ready to make a decision to
carry one out? I trust we are not choosing to stay the same. We
don’t have to be stuck there!
I find not making a decision is contrary to Paul’s teaching in II Corin-
thians 5:17 ESV “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new crea-
tion. The old has passed away; behold the new has come.”
God has given us His Holy Spirit to equip us to become all that He
desires. I have often quoted Philippians 2:13 “for it is God who
works in you, both to will and to work for His good pleasure.” God
gives you the will to make a strong spiritual choice. Will you follow
through or are you choosing to stay where you are?

Wondering where to go for a summer vacation? Creation Museum and Ark
Encounter theme park....it's never too early to start
planning that summer vacation! (Petersburg, KY
south of Cincinnati, OH)
Answers in Genesis has announced that the life-
size ark at the Creation Museum in northern Ken-
tucky will open July 7. This life-size ark (510 feet long) is the major part of the Ark
Encounter theme park, which is near the Creation Museum. This is a great opportu-
nity for all ages to walk through the Bible and experience His Word as well as have
an encounter with the Lord Jesus Christ, our Ark of salvation.
See CreationMuseum.org and ArkEncounter.com for information.
Note: for the first 40 days and 40 nights of the opening, day-time and night-time ad-
mission, tickets need to be reserved and purchased online. AiG has also announced a new conference concept called Renew-A-Thon to be
held August 1 - 13, designed to equip all ages in apologetics. The conference offers a
smorgasbord of options to renew your mind ( Romans 12:2) and refresh your spirit.
You can register to attend one or more of the days over a two-week period and se-
lect a variety of teaching programs for the times that suit you. These are identical
back-to-back weeks so overlap is possible and includes access to the Creation Mu-
seum and the Ark Encounter. Go to Renewathon.org for more info.

soldier, and Tuppence, a former Army nurse, are out of work and money. The two decide to
hire themselves out as adventurers willing to do anything and go anywhere with no unreason-
able offer refused. The duo is soon hired by a British Intelligence agent to find a missing
American woman, recover an important treaty, and discover the true identity of the mysteri-
ous “Mr. Brown.” While on the trail, the intrepid pair become enmeshed in a thrilling adven-
ture filled with intrigue, deception, double-crossing, and harrowing escapes as they pursue

BEAUTY & THE BEAST BY KATHRYN SCHULTZ MILLER
Friday, April 29th, 2016 at 7:00 pm &
Saturday Matinee, April 30th, 2016 at 1:00 pm
Performing on Stage at Faithbridge Church Based on the smash hit 1991 Disney movie and dating back to a late 18th-century classic
French fairy tale, Beauty and the Beast tells the story of Belle, a beautiful and intelligent young
woman who feels out of place in her provincial French village. When her father is imprisoned
in a mysterious castle, Belle’s attempt to rescue him leads to her capture by the Beast, a grisly
and fearsome monster, who was long ago trapped in his gruesome form by an enchantress.
The only way for the Beast to become human once again is if he learns to love and be loved in
return. There is a time limit, too: once a magical rose loses all of its petals, all hope will be lost
and he will stay a Beast forever. The Beast’s enchanted household--populated by such beloved
characters as Mrs. Tea-Time, Sparkle, Windup, and Tink--watch anxiously as Belle and the
Beast grow to understand and befriend one another. Their feelings grow ever deeper as the
clock ticks and petals continue to fall off the enchanted rose--will they confess their love for
one another before it is too late?

Blood Pressure Checks in West Foyer on April 17th - 9:30-10:45 am
PAGE 12
Fall Prevention – Postural Hypotension Postural hypotension (also called orthostatic hypotension) is when your blood pressure drops when you go from lying down to sitting up, or from sitting to standing. When your blood pressure drops, less blood goes to your organs and muscles. This can make you dizzy and more likely to fall. Are you feeling any of these symptoms: dizziness, lightheadedness, blurred vision or feeling about to faint? When do symptoms tend to happen?
• when sitting up or standing up too quickly • when getting out of bed too quickly • after a large meal • during exercise • when you are ill or frail
What are some of the causes? • Taking certain medications for blood pressure, heart, mood and
Parkinson’s disease. • Dehydration due to not drinking enough fluids, vomiting or diarrhea • Prolonged bed rest • Certain conditions e.g. diabetes, heart problems, Parkinson’s dis-
ease and anemia What you can do
• Tell your doctor about your symptoms. • Get out of bed slowly. First sit up, then sit on the side of the bed,
then stand up. • Take your time when changing position, such as when getting up
from a chair. • Have something steady to hold onto when you stand up • Take it steady when walking or get support if you feel dizzy. • Exercise gently before getting up (move your feet up and down and
clench and unclench your hands) or safer standing (march in place) • Drink 6-8 glasses of water daily, unless you have been told to limit
your fluid intake • Avoid standing still over a long time • Avoid taking very hot baths or showers
Taken from: NSW Falls Prevention Program
NOTE: International Travel – For those who plan to travel outside of the United States this summer (or anytime) and are not familiar with international travel as re-lated to health issues and immunizations, a good place to find information is the Minnesota Department of Health – under International Travel and Infectious Disease you can find information on immunization information or health alerts for other coun-tries. For example, did you know only certain clinics in Minnesota administer the yellow fever vaccine (Bemidji is the closest for us). Just go to health.state.mn.us and put in “travel” in the search.

our Tea and Testimony. Cora Henderson will be
sharing on April 5th and we welcome any new
moms to join us on Tuesday morning at 9 am in the Fellowship Hall.
The next meeting will be on April 19th and Ramona Anderson will be
speaking about the Coles Foundation, which gives support to families
of children with cancer.
The Moppet volunteers keep the children occupied with games, toys
and creative activities while the moms attend the meeting. New
moms are asked to come early to register their children for Moppets.
