General Notices
Year 10 PWL Mock Interviews (VDN) We are half way through the mock interview programme and the Year 10 students have been a real credit to themselves and the school. The feedback has been very positive from both the interviewers and students. The students have been well prepared and brought some inspiring things with them to share at their interview. Thank you to everyone in making this another success. Ballard/Highcliffe Lecture Series (VDN) On Thursday 12th March we welcome a well renowned British composer to Ballard School to talk to us about his prestigious musical career. Christopher Gunning has composed scores for films, television and concert halls. His TV compositions include Agatha Christie’s Poirot, Middlemarch and Porterhouse Blue. Christopher has won 4 BAFTAs and 3 IVOR NOVELLO awards to name but a few. Come and hear him talk about his life in music. The lecture starts at 7pm. Please bring your friends.

Year 11 Science support Monday in SC8 3.05pm (RCN) Due to the Year 10 parents evening on Wednesday, the Year 11 session will be on Monday this week in Sc8. This session will be for the Y half of the year group. We will be reviewing P4 A-D (electrostatics and ultrasound). Please bring writing materials and be prepared for a prompt start. Eco club Tuesday in SC2 3:05pm (RCN) We are at the point in the year where we would benefit from extra pairs of hands during our sessions after school on a Tuesday! This week is potato week-our potatoes have been busy chitting over the last few weeks and are now ready to go in the ground – there will be lots of digging to do this week. Warm clothing and shoes suitable for this type of work will be essential. Please see Mr Craven in SC8 if you would like to be involved in this activity.
