Did you know that: May 18 is the Centennial of the renaming of the church to Forrest Burdette Memorial United Methodist Church. Sunday, June 3 — Service of Consecration 10:00 a.m. (between worship services) Community Open House 3:00-5:00 p.m. As you entered the church today you saw that work is nearing completion on the covered entrance which will finish the church addition. You have been very faithful in your financial support. Through April, over $1,799,483 has been received. Because of your “up front giving” our “construction draw” to date is $1,692,169. Although we will have a few more expenses as we complete the total project, it is not expected that we will need to borrow the total $2 million as once planned. It will not be long until we will have to convert the “draw” to a monthly mortgage. Every gift now will help us lower the total borrowed and the monthly payment. Prayerfully consider making a gift now if you are able. Thank you for your generosity and support. Welcome to Forrest Burdette Memorial United Methodist Church!

… You may wish to take your birth to age 2 children into our nursery which is warm,

nurturing, and well-supervised. The nursery is located off the narthex on the right.

After “Good News for Children” age 3 to third graders may leave to attend “COOL

Club”.

… Take advantage of the sermon outline in the bulletin. You may find it easier to

follow the sermon.

… Please keep cellular phones off during the service and set your beepers to non-

audible notification.

… As United Methodists, we celebrate “open Communion”; everyone is always

welcome at the Lord’s Table. Gluten free bread is available.

… Be sure to sign a pew card and check “first time” visitor.

… The restrooms are located to the right at entrance to Fellowship Hall and at the end

of the ramp and to the left.

… Please do not bring coffee, tea, or soft drinks into the Sanctuary.

… At the close of worship, our tradition is to reach for your neighbor’s hand as we

sing together “Let There Be Peace on Earth”.
