123 various Class-I and Class-III Technical & Non-Technical posts, viz. — Assistant Engineer (Electrical)/ Assis‐

tant Engineer (IT&C) / Assistant Manager (HR&A) / Assistant Manager (F&A), Medical Officer/ Sub-Assistant

WBSEDCL INVITES ONLINE APPLICATION FOR 123 VARIOUS TECHNICAL AND NON-TECHNICAL POSTS (ASST.

ENGINEER/ MANAGER/ MEDICAL OFFICER/ NURSE/ ETC). LAST DATE — 09/01/2015

1. ASSISTANT ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL) — 60 POSTS.

Qualification: Full Time 4 years’ B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Electrical Engineering/ Electrical & Elec‐

tronics (Combined)/B.Sc (H) in Physics with 3 years’ B.Tech in Electrical Engineering/Power Engineering.

Pay Scale: Rs.15,600—39100 and Grade Pay: Rs.5400/-

2. ASSISTANT ENGINEER (IT & C) — 17 POSTS.Qualification: Full Time 4 years’ B.E/B.Tech/B.Sc (Engineering) Degree in Information Technology/ Computer

Science/ M.Sc in Computer Science/ 3 years’ MCA (full time)/ B.Sc (H) with full time B.Tech 3 years’ duration in

Computer Science and Engineering/ B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering/ Degree in Electronics/ Degree

in Electronics & Telecommunication of 4 years course.


3. ASSISTANT MANAGER (HR & A) — 16 POSTS.

Qualification: Graduate in any discipline and MBA (2 years’ full time course)/MPM (2 years’ full time

course)/MHRM (2 years’ full time course) with major specialization in Personnel Management/ H.R or Post-Gradu‐

ate full time Degee/Diploma (2 years’ course) with specialization in Personnel Management/H.R.


4. ASSISTANT MANAGER (F&A) — 09 POSTS.

Qualification: Graduate in any discipline and passed Final Examination from Institute of Chartered Accounts of In‐

dia or Institute of Cost & Works Accounts of India or MBA (2 years’ full time) with specialization in Finance.


5. MEDICAL OFFICER — 2 POSTS.

Qualification: MBBS Degree.


6. SUB-ASSISTANT ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL) — 15 POSTS.

Qualification: Full time 3 years’ Diploma in Electrical Engineering.

Pay Scale: Rs.6300—20200 and Grade Pay: Rs.4400/-

7. NURSE: 4 POSTS.Qualification: Candidate must have Higher Secondary or equivalent in Science with Diploma in General Nursing

Midwife and Registration with Nursing Council AND 02yrs working experience in recognized Hospital.

Pay Scale: Rs.6300—20200/- and Grade Pay: Rs.2600/-

Note: Degree obtained from Open University/ Private University/ Distance Mode Learning will not be considered

for any above posts.

Candidates having adequate knowledge in communicating in Bengali / Nepali language will be preferred

AGE LIMIT:

Minimum 18 years and maximum 27 years as on 01.01.2014 for the posts mentioned under SI No. 1 to 6 and min‐

imum 18 years and maximum 30 years as on 01.01.2014 for the post mentioned under SI No. 7.

Upper age relaxation is 5 years for SC/ST candidates, 3 years for OBC (Non Creamy Layer) candidates and 10

years for PWD candidates. Relaxation for Ex-servicemen will be as per govt.norms.

Upper age relaxation is applicable to only SC/ST/ OBC candidates of West Bengal only. Reserved category of

other States will be treated as General candidates.

Selection of the candidates will be through Written Test and Interview. The Written Test and Interview will be held

The Written Test will cover the tests for General Knowledge, Current Affairs, Reasoning, General English and Arith‐

metic, apart from tests of knowledge in the respective professional subjects/areas and a descriptive test.

Tentative date of written examination is 01-02-2015.

APPLICATION FEE:

Rs.300/- for the post of “Sub-Assistant Engineer (Electrical)”, Rs.250/- for the post of “Nurse” and Rs.400/- for

rest of all posts.

Fee should be deposited in any branch of United Bank of India through a triplicate CHALLAN. The candidate shall

download the CHALLAN from the official website of WBSEDCL (See URL below).

PH candidates shall pay Rs.180/- for the Post of Sub-Assistant Engineer (Electrical) but no fee relaxation will be

applicable to PH category candidates applying for rest of any other posts.

NO APPLICATION FEE FOR SC/ST AND EXEMPTED CATEGORIES.

cation Number will appear on the computer screen.

WBSEDCL’s copy of fee Challan, attested copies of Caste Certificate, Disability Certificate (if applicable), age proof

and Pass Certificate of Academic & Professional qualifications and send the same by Ordinary Post at the address

given below so as to reach on or before 15.01.2015
