On April 14th, Dale Swiggett sent an email/letterout to Wes Seegars, Chairman of the NC WildlifeResources Commission, calling for the resignationof seven sitting commissioners who make up the“corrupt quorum.” The basis of Dale’s claim isthat the Governor and Senate President ProTempore appointed commissioners that wouldstack the Board to promote the cover-up of tozicwater and subsidence, promote high-enddevelopment that in turn would promote their end-game of bringing riverboat gambling operationsto our Inner Coastal areas.

We have honored Dr. Martin Luther King forhis leadership and his writings like “InjusticeAnywhere is a Threat to Justice Everywhere”. Dr.Robert Bullard, best known as the highest opinionon Environmental Injustice, has better defined theEnvironment as not just the green grass and water, but everything that it takes to sustain modern lifeas we know it - schools workplace, churches, homes, and all infrastructure needed to support ourmodern well being.

Thousands of American lives have been lost tofight dictators throughout history who have usedinjustices and corruption to threaten our whole wayof life, yet glean a mighty profit.

After visiting and providing hundreds of dollarsin copies of official documents that detailed blatantenvironmental injustices to the NC A&T University(the home of the Woolworth protesters), I cameaway totally disgusted.

The NC A&T Environmental Engineering Deptand Trustees were totally clueless, and did nothingto help the North Carolina Taxpayers harmed bythe Environmental Injustices of the Bay RiverSewage/River Dunes Scandal who pay theirsalaries.

Even though North Carolina is one of the homesof the civil rights movements, after 45 years theWoolworth Civil Rights Memorial is just anothercorruption scam plagued with cost over runs.

Even though one of the A&T PhD’s is supposedto be head of the Wastewater Institute, a consortiumof 17 Black Universities that are suppose to addressand prevent environmental injustices.

Anything connected with Civil Rights is justpassé now that NC A&T international focus ofusing North Carolina Taxpayers Funds to educate

more foreignstudents, especiallyif facts werediscovered by aRedneck WhiteDeveloper insteadsomeone of color.

Even though thePCB dumping inWarren Countybegan theEnv i ronmen ta lJustice movement nationally, outsiders of theEnvironmental Injustice Community are notwelcome. This is because true facts about real issuesmay upset the funding opportunities of theEnvironmental Community by exposing that theyare not doing their job by allowing something thislarge to go undetected.

All the while, the people most responsible weretold to cover up the Bay River Sewage/River DunesInjustices and corruption.

Supportive Professors and PhDs researchersoutraged with this widespread corruption withinthe University system encouraged me to comparethe denial Bay River Sewage and DENR WaterQuality Policies to the Holocaust.

Also, the PhD’s have suggested that I comparethe opinions-for-hire of professionals of theTobacco Scandal, to the harboring of the facilitatorsof Environmental Corruption at UNC, Duke, ECUand A&T of the Bay River Sewage Scam andSewergate Cover up.

Just like the billions of dollars lost in Wall StreetPonzi Schemes, we soon found out that the end

I just happened to be driving on thebrand new 5-lane highway connect-ing New Bern and Pamlico County, when I noticed these turkey vulturesgathered in a dead tree. It later struckme as a really sad analogy for how Inow felt about my possibilities to suc-ceeding in the area.

game for Bay River Sewage/River Dunes wasalways much bigger, connecting theEnvironmental Corruption with the Banking/Mortgage Scandal and illegally misappropriatingClean Water Trust Funds.

\All the corruption was to build infrastructurefor high-end developments to subsidize profits, and a fleet of Gambling Boats.

\The Bay River Sewage/River Dunes Scamand Sewergate are supporting hundreds of peopleillegally. There is always more covering up thecorruption than people that are exposed.

\In Pamlico County and Eastern NC, the wordspread quickly that the fix was in and to keep thelid on the Bay River Sewage/River Dunes Scamand Sewergate Cover up because of underlyingissues with direct connection to Development,Banking, and Environmental Scams.

\With Speaker Jim Black in jail, the hangoversfrom culture of the corruption and cover ups forthe Scams of Banking, Development, Sewer,Toxic Drinking Water, and the Prisons are toprotect Gov. Elect Beverly Perdue and Sen. MarcBasnight will not just go away.

A full-pageadvertisement in lastweek’s issue of thisnewspaper isintended to identify‘classes’ of people inPamlico County who may have been adverselyaffected by alleged misappropriations of stategrants, according to a representative ofLargeVerdicts.com based in Raleigh.

Monday morning, Mark Valentine, describedhimself as a “facilitator,” who is “assembling a teamof attorneys who are keenly interested in this thing.”

He said the lawyers are a “top notch team offolks, but I am not at liberty to disclose who theyare at this point.”

Valentine is a consultant who specializes indeciphering scams and other misdeeds that arefrequently “convoluted by design” in order todeceive prosecutors and whistle-blowers. He hasdesigned easy-to-understand charts, graphs, andother documentation so that his clients — typicallytrial attorneys — can win over the hearts and mindsof juries who decide complicated civil lawsuits.

“We are trying to boil down reams and reams ofinformation,” he said, “so that the average personcan understand what has happened and in theprocess identify who has been damaged.”

Legislators Flawed Thinking cont. next pg

What Are Our Politicians

Thinking?!We have heard from the past Governor that we

have a severe drought. Bill Holman even has goneas far as to propose a water use budget by riverbasin. The Legislators are going to monitor wellsthat use more than 100,000 gallon per day.

That is one step closer to meters on all wellsand managing how much water you use. There isconsideration of total control of water transfer frombasin-to-basin and even restricting water use togallons per person.

With all of these concerns being discussed inRaleigh we have Representative Russell E. Tucker,a Democrat from Pink Hill who represents Onslowand Duplin counties introduce a bill in the GeneralAssembly that would allow ONWASA and othersto dump potential pollutants into our ground water.

Yes, you heard it right. With all of the talk aboutwater shortage, we are going to pump treated wasteinto the groundwater. The problem is the treatmentprocess. We know that the biological treatmentprocess does not remove the pathogens, hormones, and chemicals that we put in our body. The prionsthat transmit “mad cow” type disease can not bedestroyed unless we have extreme temperatures.

This political game is deadly. There arenumerous cases where recycling or reusing water

has created high concentrations of metals. Metalsbio-magnify or bio-accumulate as the metals nevergo away. In simple terms if any metals such asmercury, lead or arsenic is present in the water beingtreated and injected it will still be in the treatedwater.

We drink it again and build up concentrationsin our body. Excrete some and it stays in the water, inject it in the ground and drink again concentratingmore until we reach the toxic level. There isevidence of lead poisoning in the days of Rome. The wealth ruling class would not give up theluxury of pewter cups for their wine.

What are our legislators willing to do to keepon building million dollar homes for the rich andfamous? Please do not poison our ground water. It is bad enough that you put sewage sludge on ourplayground and ball fields for our children to playin treated human waste.

Again your intelligence level is to be questioned. You permit thousand of tons of sewage sludge tobe land applied and that sludge has the samepossibility of accumulation of heavy metals andcontaining disease and chemicals. Yet, you do noteven consider this when you draft you Lake JordonRules.

Simply put you are pooping in your drinkingwater and putting poop that has not had thechemicals, metal, and disease causing organismstreated or removed on your pastures, playgrounds, parks and food crops. Both of these ideas are soldas cost saving and providing fertilizer to the farmer.

You must as citizens and legislators, with someintelligence, stand up and demand that at least thepublic be informed that the food they eat is beingirrigated and fertilized with this type of “stuff”.You also need to stop putting the sludge onplaygrounds and public parks. Never permit theinjection of treated waste water politically called“reclaimed water” in the House Bill 643 into ourground water.

It is also your duty to inform the farmer whatcan be in the sludge that he is putting on his field. When the Assistant Commissioner of Agricultureadmits that he cannot with 100% certainty say thatthe recent problems with salmonella and E. coliwere not tied to the use of sludge, then we have aserious problem.

I congratulate Dr. Richard C. Reich, Ph. D. forbeing an honest person. Now it behooves theRepresentative Russell E. Tucker to request thathis bill (HB 643) be pulled from the agenda and ifhe does not the rest of the Legislators need to standtall and make the proper choice.

Once they have done that, they need to seriouslylook at the practice of sludge application asfertilizer. The sludge may have some fertilizerproperties but the rest of the story is the killer. Ifyou need more information or proof of the statedfacts in this article, please contact the author. Thisis a serious, deadly problem that is a matter ofsafety, survival, and national security for you andyour children and grandchildren.

If you read this article you need to contact yourlocal representatives and ask them to not injecttreated waste water into the aquifers and stopputting deadly chemicals and organisms on theplayground, parks and food crops.

Not Just Another Day at

the Legislature

Greed, avarice and hubrisknows no party lines, noreligion, nor creed.

It was a recent springday when a few keymembers of WaterfrontSportsman staff andcertain members of theE n v i r o n m e n t a lInvestigation Coalition(EIC) all met at theLegislature Building onJones Street. Our grouphad a very importantmeeting with Senator

Phil Berger about toxic sludge.Unfortunately, our indepth meeting we had

scheduled for was directly following the vote onGovernor Bev’s budget. Understandably, the votingsession went way beyond the time allotted, forcingmany who had meetings directly after that to eitheradjust or reschedule. Our group chose to wait itout ‘til afte the vote, even if it was just 10 minutes.

As our group waited, we talked amongstourselves at one of the many tables in the manydifferent sitting areas of the Legislature Building. It was very interesting seeing the different reactionsfrom other members of our illustrious body of all-knowing politicans. A few came right up to us,shaking hands, sitting to catch up on our progess.

But there were quite a few politicians who choseto close their doors, or make themselves scarce inthe area we occupied.

Finally, Sen. Berger was ready to see us but onlyhad a few minutes due to the voting session goingso long. Our group managed to take over an hour’sworth of material and cram it into just over 10minutes of bulleted points. The top issue wassludge, the legislation bills introduced to addressthe problem of land application, and the fact thatSynagro (the national sludge spreading companythat is the focus of numerous federal investigtionsof illegal political kickbacks) operates under theumbrella of the international mega corporationCarlyle Group. Oh, and thanks to the forensicresearch of Fern Shubert that she shared with us,the last fact presented to Sen. Berger gave him andthe rest of our group serious pause for consideration- that a group of stakeholders in Carlyle aremembers of the Osama bin Laden family!

So, it would appear that a page was taken fromthe ancient classic ‘The Art of War,’ where it ismuch easier and more economical to kill one’sopponent by slow poisoning. What irony! A groupof people who have vowed to destroy our nationare making literally millions in profit by poisoningus with our own waste.

After the meeting, Dale and a few other WFSand EIC members paid a visit to some otherlegislators, grabbed lunch at the cafe, thenproceeded to the Agriculture Department wherethey met w/ Dr. Richard Reich since Steve Troxlerwas traveling on business. After an eye-openingchat with Dr. Reich, our group then paid a visit toDon Carrington at The John Locke Foundation. tocompare notes and catch up on news.

By the end of the day, a lot was accomplished. But the hard work is yet to come. It’s not enoughto shed light on the muddy bottom of big businessand politics but absolutely essential to bringcreative and timely solutions to the problemsidentified.

Just like the eccentric, yet highly intelligentscientist Dr. Albert Einstein once said, “Problemscannot be solved at the same level of awarenessthat created them.” Thanks doc! We’d prefer to takea page out of your book to correct all the wrongsto make things right for everyone.

When I rhink back to jumping into myGranddad’s hunter green 1959 F100, I recalled thestench of a Tampa Nugget Cigar for a trip into toTown to pick up some feed. Things were quitedifferent in that day, everything was quite planned. One trip into town represented everything for theweek and was always topped off with a littlesomething special.

The trip began in 1962 at Hardin’s Feed Storeon West Market to pick up some feed and loop by“Boar and Castle” for Castle burger before thebaseball game at Memorial Stadium to see theGreensboro Yankees play.

The familiar aroma of the fresh milled corn witha hint of molasses to make sweet feed was revisited46 years later when I stepped on the loading dockof Hardin’s Feed and Stables in Stokesdale, N.C.the off-shoot of the West Market Street Store.

This recurrence happened after I walked throughthe hundreds of horse trailers and duellies on theSteeple Hill Farm, I came upon two road tractorsparked side by side. This was an effort to chasedown a family agri business with roots to the OakRidge Horse Show.

The activity and enthusiasm was continuous, over a dozen horses and 20 riders were movingabout with a sense of confidence that only comesfrom years and years of experience.

Unlike some efforts that were only limited toone or two events, the Hardin Trailers come early, participate in most everything and stay foreverything. I was able to take a few photos, butfelt that I was really imposing on their participationevent, but I was invited to visit the farm by RushHardin.

A few days past and I madethe turn off Hwy 150 that leadme down to the Hardin Farm,as I past the Hardin Farm signit was easy to see the mill silosand how all the buildings havesprouted up to support all theneeds of the farm. Then Istepped on the loading dock andsaw again the towering mill asit was 46 years earlier.

Hardin Family Farm

Evolves Over the YearsAcross the generations, it started with Rush & Mary Hardin, followed by daughters Helen & Luann, and passed down toHelen’s son, Wil. The passion never dies.

The Hardin family prides itself in providing the best of everything while welcoming allnovice and experienced riders alike to join the family in a complete equestrian experience.

The Hardins were always recognized as modelhog producers, but industry controls over the hogindustry on weight and rate created a businessmodel that was not favorable for small producers. The decision was made to sell off the hog stockand turn the hog barn into riding stables, and theevolution from pleasure riding to pleasure producerbegan.

Hardin Farms continued_____________________

While public reports confirm 90% of sludgespills are by municipal sewage treatment plants andeyewitnesses confirm massive acid spills at the PCSPhosphate Mine facility go unreported, RobertKennedy Jr, the founder of the Water Keepers/RiverKeepers organization, has the audicity to come toNC and continue to promote the misinformationthat all water quality problems are from the porkproducers. This misinformation, half truths, andconstant spin has only been to protect the Synagrosludge spreading monopoly and hurt small familyfarms.

Rush, Helen and Luann are preparing for grandson Wil to mountup for competition on the quest to continue the winning traditionof fine horsemanship that began with the original first horse show.

The powerful statement of the Hardin Farms road tractors isnot that of being boastful or pretentious. These are working

What started out in green shorts, and knee sockswith red tassels topped by a Boy Scout Shirt in1966 at the Old Camp Cherokee Scout Reservation, when the Regional Scout Director announced theplans of the new Cherokee Scout 1300 acre ScoutReservation in Caswell County, somehow hadmeandered through 45 years of issues and was onthe 5th floor of Attorney Gene Boyce’s Office onFayetteville St. in Raleigh.

When the Scout Director spoke, he describedhow the Rockingham County Camp had over taxedthe site that is had lost the original intent ofdeparture from everyday home life and was missingthe message of the natural beauty of theenvironment. The Scout Executive even went asfar to say that a camper or scoutmaster could easilytouch every tree on the whole camp in a single dayas way to describe the limitations of the naturalresources that protected the water shed. Theannouncement clearly defined a mission, intent, andthe need for expansion to restore the original intent.

The meeting was in the Lawyers WeeklyBuilding that is probably the closest attorney officeto the North Carolina Capital and Legislative. Thislocation is no accident and reflects Gene’s successin fighting injustice and corruption in NorthCarolina. The meeting was with Mark Valentineof Largevirdicts.com to discuss a master plan toattack gross and widespread misappropriations ofover $1 billion of North Carolina Clean Water TrustFunds. The mass tort of taxing and stealing themoney while ignoring the exiting needs of thepeople that was supposed to protect and improvewater quality, had turned the Clean Water TrustFund, NC DENR/DWQ, and the NC Rural Centerinto a total slush funds for select developers, thePCS Mine, and Synagro Biosolids. The illegalobstruction of justice and misappropriations of trustfunds by NC Officials, NC Licensed Attorneys,CPAs and Engineers of the Clean Water Trust Fund,NC DENR/DWQ, and NC Rural Center was onlyto divert funds to politicos for their Ponzi Schemesand campaign contributions.

Mark also mentioned his brother Phil Valentinein Nashville, Tenn., who almost single handed

Defining the “Productivist”Movement

melted down the Tennessee General Assembly andstopped the unjustified proposed Tennessee StateIncome Tax.

When Gene Boyce coined the phrase the“Environmental Investigation Coalition,” it was inconjunction with a letter calling for a NC StateReceiver to be appointed over the Bay RiverSewage District to recover NC Taxpayer Fundsfrom the Bay River Sewage/River Dunes Scam andSewergate cover up. This aggressive action wascalled for as he mentioned his battles addressingthe patterns of injustice with the NC StateEmployees Trust Fund and the NC State IntangibleTax. Mark reflected on key court cases that heparticipated in as a trial consultant and exhibitexpert. Mark’s specialty is the challenge creating avisual advantage by simplifying extremely complexissues into indelible mental images you can tell yourgrandchildren about.

My part in the process comes from being asignificant harmed party and seeking financialrecovery for tens of thousands of people andproperty owners. To be successful will require newmethods to get the word of the conspiracies ofcorruption out to overcome the bias status quomedia that is directly linked and funded byperpetrators of environmental injustices.

While the NC media are directed to spin facts toperpetuate the power and convenience of the statusquo, public documents confirm pattern maliciousand selective prosecutions by the North Carolina

Dept. of Justice and the NC SBI and wastehundreds of millions of taxpayer’s funds defendingcorruption in the State of North Carolina.

“Waterfront Sportsman Movement” and“Environmental Investigation Coalition” musthonor John Walsh of “America’s Most Wanted,”Candy Lightner Founder of “Mother’s AgainstDrunk Drivers” and Phil Valentine who tookcontrol of ineffective and dysfunctioning by designinvestigations, fought corrupt systems, and shamedpoliticians into effective government as the trueinspiration of the Productivist Movement.

The challenges for “Waterfront SportsmanMovement” and “Environmental InvestigationCoalition” are to use these great examples of TruePatriotism and Courage to bring awareness of what

the true scope of what the environment is today, because we doing irreparable damage to the onlyenvironment we have. The new message of theProductivist Movement is to create betterunderstanding of the environment, as all that isrequired to sustain modern life and quality of life, and stop environmental injustices wherever it takesplace.

As my Father would say “Son, we have to keephope alive for those who need it the most and wewill have the ones that hurt them pay for it.” MyDad, R. Horace Swiggett Jr., Duke Law Class of1957, practiced Personal Injury Law for 50 yearsin North Carolina.

Mr. Wes Seegers, ChairmanNorth Carolina Wildlife Resources CommissionNCSU Centinial1751 Varsity Dr.Raleigh, NC 27606

Dear Mr. Seegers and NCWRC Commissioners,You may not be aware of me, and the Water-

front Sportsman Movement, but several of yourCommissioners are very much aware of the Wa-terfront Sportsman's investigating reporting.Waterfront Sportsman Mission is to do for People,Dogs, Horses, and the Environment what "DucksUnlimited" has done for Waterfowl and the Envi-ronment.

While I have been a "Ducks Unlimited Spon-sor" in Pamlico County. The disturbing activity ofusing Duck Impounds in Eastern North Carolinafunded by the PCS Mine in Aurora, NC, and sup-ported by NCWRC &"Ducks Unlimited" to coverup thousands of acres of farmland and waterfrontproperty from subsidence is totally unethical andis ignoring the Public's Right to Know that theNCWRC is suppose to protect.

If you are not aware of subsidence, it is whenthe land sinks from removal of mass quantity ofwater and/or crude oil or trenching. The PCS Mine

has been removing more than 78 million gallonsof water per day for 45 years.

Dr. William Schlesinger ex Dean of the Nicho-las Environmental School has confirmed that theeffects of Global Warming are greater in EasternNorth Carolina than any other area on Earth. Thisis because the land is sinking faster than the wateris rising because of PCS Dewatering and Contami-nating the Castle Hayne Aquifer.

The NCWRC, Tar- Pamlico River Keepers, theSouthern Environmental Law Center, and "DucksUnlimited" endorsements and/or ignoring DuckImpounds is unexcusable. The taxing and stealingof NC Taxpayers Funds by Sen. Marc Basnight atthe Lake Mattamaskeet Lodge is a continuation ofpattern of cover ups that are disserving all of NorthCarolina.

These illegal actions were done with knowledgeof the Glenn Hockney of Hyde County 500 mil-lion dollar Law Suit against the PCS Mine forSubsidence and Water Qualtiy.

The "Go along to Get along Down East Cor-ruption has now merged with the "Look the otherway and let them steal the Public Trust Funds" ofNon-Profits and Regultory Authorities has to STOPNOW!

The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Com-mission is not only tarnished with the Gov. Easleyillegal appointment of NCWRC CommissionerRandy Allen who did not disclose any holdings ofwaterfront property. The whole Board has ignoredverification of such holding published in a num-ber of articles by Don Carrington in the "CarolinaJournal.

You may want to check the back of his applica-tion, I have.

The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Com-mission has disgustedly ignored illegal dredgingthe Pamlico County Commissioner Moore and Wa-terfowl Guide Jerry Gaskill only to cover up forSen. Marc Basnight.

The North Carolina Wildlife Resources Com-mission has ignored a pattern of illegal misappro-priations of Clean Water Trust Funds in the BayRiver, Pantego, Engelhard, and Stumpy PointSewer Plants to benefit NCWRC CommissionersDevelopments. The look the other way activitieshave been to promote sewer dump station atStumpy Point, a travel lift an Emerald Isle, andcontrol access for a fleet of "Gambling Boats."

As a Grand Jury has now convened to review anumber of Environmental Injustices and Corrup-tion for High Crimes against the People of NorthCarolina. I demand that you call for the resigna-tions of the following Commissioners:

Let’s Protect Our

Loved Ones

As a loyal Ducks Unlimited supporter for 25years and as a concept and marketing person, howcan anyone question their success of preserving theenvironment for waterfowl? But have theyforgotten about our family members, neighbors, loved ones and the environment for them? You

know, people, dogs, horses and everything that isneeded to sustain the environment for thepreservation of quality of life is what WaterfrontSportsman is all about.

With an economy that has everyone seeking andlearning new knowledge and skills that simply

differentiate between wants and needs, the KingKong massive McMansion era footprint withendless wasteful ‘looks good, do nothing’impervious surface areas is over, in favor of a finelyorchestrated tiptoe ballet. The Bungalow era withpersonal attention to proper efficient planning forproductive use of the environment that benefits ourloved ones is how the Waterfront Sportsman canaddress the complex issues of our day and protectenvironmental principals for future generations.

While the Environmental Investigation Coalition(EIC) has addressed the Top Five Issues of Water

Quality and have inadequate water testing as NorthCarolina #1 problem, because inadequate water testis killing people and make people, dogs and horsessick. The EIC and Waterfront Sportsman support

Burlington/Labcorp/SynagroSludge Spread Scam andCover-up really points to whoknew what, when, and where.

Please enjoy our “LovedOnes” Horse feature of the OakRidge Horse Show this weekand keep in mind that strongindications from Europe, MadCow Disease is linked tomunicipal sludge spreading.

Try to visualize and estimatethe damage to our “Loved Onesand Family Land” that theunethical conspired decision ofBurlington, Hobbs &Upchurch, NC Rural Center, and Synagro to permit 2,000acres to spread sludge inRockingham, Guilford,

Caswell, Alamance, Orange, Chatham, andRandolph counties. This conspiracy was to obstructenvironmental justice and knowingly harm people, dogs, and horses and everything that is needed tosustain the environment for the preservation ofquality of life.

While Nancy Holt of NC Concerned Citizensidentified 70% of the people in a 5-mile radius HotZone on the Orange/Alamance county line aredying from cancer, Burlington’s town managerHarold Owen, who is dumping the sludge, thinksthat Burlington’s nitrogen problem is from smalllandscaping contractors over fertilizing. Owen isguilty of obstruction of environmental justice bydeceiving people to cover up the problem. Thisstatus quo environmentalists who have let thesludge disaster happen think the pipesmokers in Chapel Hill at the UNCSchool of Public Health and theOrange County’s clueless director ofthe Environmental and ResourcesConservation Department DavidStancil get around to it 2006, $10,000,misguided, and inadequate study onsewer sludge is the answer.
