at 6:00pm Bring your photos to a three part series of classes and learn the
basics of Photoshop.
Riverside Chiropractic* Monday, August 31 at 7:00pm Dr. Jenny will discuss informed choices about vaccinations and
immunizations.
American Barn Stories & Other Tales From the Heartlands*
Thursday, September 10 at 6:30pm This family friendly program has
aired and been enjoyed by thousands on PBS since 2006. Tom Laughlin will share some barn stories, and talk about the process of
producing the program. Muzika Trio
Saturday, Sept. 26 at 1:00pm Hosted by the Friends of the
Waterford Public Library, Muzika Trio features a violinist, cellist and pianist who will perform a
variety of works.
Teen Volunteer Luncheon Thursday, August 6 at 12:00pm
If you volunteered this summer or if you want to in the future, sign up to join us for
this special luncheon celebrating our volunteers. Children ages 12 and up are welcome to attend.

Each 20-minute session has a different theme and fun things for toddlers to do such as sign language, songs, finger
plays, movement activities and stories.
Lap-Sit is held on Wednesdays and Thursdays on the following days. There
are different themes each week.

The group meets at 9:30am and no registration is required.

Preschool Storytimes are held on
Wednesdays and Thursdays on the
following dates—
September 9 or 10 and 16 or 17
Three, four and five year-olds are
welcome on Wednesday or Thursday
at 10:30am. The sessions run for 30
minutes and include sign language,
stories, songs, finger plays, a craft and
movement activities. Sign up in the
library, online or by phone.
Registration is required!
Sensational Snakes
Wednesday, August 12 at 10:00am
This program will incorporate Libba Moore Gray’s book, Small Green Snake and will introduce children to the world of the often misunderstood snake.
Participate in the telling of this “scaly” story and spend time being “ophiologists” (snake
scientists). Get answers in hands-on stations following the storytelling portion of the program. A visit with a live snake will
be a highlight of the program. Appropriate for children ages 5 to 10.

Individual children and/or
families can sign up for
one 15-minute block of
time once during August.
Chester is a sweet Cairn
Terrier/Dachshund mix who loves kids
and loves to be read to.
Mondays, Aug. 3, 10 & 17 at 9:30am Linda Breuer from Love, Inc. will lead this
3-week program for parents and their preschool children. ABC Music and Me
provides a fun way to sing, listen, move, play, learn and build literacy
skills. There is no cost.
Reading Buddies
Thursdays, August 13 & 20 at 5:00pm - 7:00pm
Kids ages 10 and under will read with a teenage volunteer for 15 minutes. This is a great
opportunity for kids to continue to read throughout the summer.
Registration is required!
Saturday, August 8 at 10:00am Celebrate the graduates of the Imagination Library program!
Children will participate in a storytime with kindergarten teachers talking about
kindergarten! A craft, snack and awards ceremony will follow the storytime. Open to
all children entering kindergarten.
Building Blocks
Storytime will return
starting September 14 Thursday, Sept. 24 at 2:00pm
Children under 5 with an
accompanying adult are
welcome to join this play group.
Several sensory activities and
toys will be available for children
to interact and play with.
Some activities may be messy.
Please dress accordingly.
