Three phase motors are more reliable than single phase motors, (frequently lasting 10 times longer).

Three phase motors are generally less expensive than single phase motors.

The table below is an operational cost comparison between a Tsurumi three phase unit with phase inverter and two other manufactures single phase submersible pumps.

In addition to cost of operation savings the Tsurumi Single Phase Inverter Panel provides the following advantages:

1. The pump speed can be adjusted for the desired effect or, ( with the addition of other components), can be set to run at a reduced speed during certain time periods.

2. The pump speed can be adjusted in order to supply the minimum filtering requirement and adjusted to supply flow required for higher flow requirements such as waterfalls. (A SECOND PUMP IS NOT REQUIRED!) ADJUSTING THE FLOW BY MEANS OF A VALVE, WASTES ENERGY. ADJUSTING THE FLOW BY SPEED SAVES ENERGY.

3. Provides superior electronic overload protection.

4. Allows for "soft start" with negligible inrush current thereby extending motor life.

5. When maximum amperage draw is close to maximum supply, adjustment of the pump speed can be set to the maximum amperage draw, allowed by the supply.

6. Takes place of multi-speed motors.

7. Takes the place of pump control panels.

9. No loss of torque or higher power consumption as is the case with other phase conversion methods.
