TWO-RAM BALERS

High-efficiency, high-pressure two-ram baler with lidIPS TRHE two-ram balers provide maximum productivity per

electrical kW usage. Unlike standard two-ram balers, the

TRHE operates at 5000 psi, making it quicker and needing

fewer strokes to make a bale.

When fitted with the patented IPS pre-compression lid it

allows operators to bale all materials whilst reducing running

costs by 40% when compared to standard balers. The lid also

eliminates shearing and virtually eliminates bridging.

Two-ram bale tie baler (TRBT)The patented, multi-material TRBT bales and ties at the same

time, thereby increasing throughput for all grades of material

including paper, non-ferrous, plastic and RDF.

The baling and tying operation is continuous, putting an end

to the typical stop/start routine. No other baler can match the

throughput, reliability, and bale density on multi-material

baling.

The IPS pre-compression lid is fitted as standard.

HORIZONTAL BALERS

Auto-tie hinge-sideTM

With the widest charge box opening available, this baler has

an excellent production rate. Pre-conditioning is virtually

eliminated as is bridging of bulky recyclables. Much greater

bale densities than comparable balers are produced.

Unique sidewall design reduces approximately 75% of

shearing required by other balers. Bales high-grade paper

without fluffing.

ConquestTM

High performance baler that achieves maximum throughput,

increases production and virtually eliminates bridging

problems. Preconditioning is not required, nor a fluffer for

high grades.

High throughput of up to 45 tph of cardboard, up to 90 tph

of ONP and high grades, allowing up to 26 tonnes of

cardboard on export containers.

Horizontal auto-tieSeven models available to recycle high-grade paper,

cardboard, plastic or non-ferrous materials.

Optional lid will increase tonnage capacities without

increased horsepower (ideal for bulky materials) and a large

hopper opening accommodates conveyor-fed operations.

Horizontal closed doorWith some of the most innovative features available, the five

models offer optimum performance and ease-of-use whilst

the welded frame of heavy reinforced channel and plate,

together with the T-1 alloy steel shear blade, will provide years

of dependable operation.

Advanced hydraulics allow more material to be processed

faster with less horsepower. Optional feed hopper extension

with upper level sensor.

Belt ConveyorsWide range, both sliding and rolling conveyors,

constructed in different materials to transport a variety of

waste types. Includes Light, Heavy and U-band conveyors

in a variety of belt widths.

PZ ConveyorsIdeal where the materials need to be moved to greater

heights – standard angle of 70° but can be increased if

necessary. A wide range of belt widths facilitates

appropriate level of efficiency.

PK Chain ConveyorsWide range of belt widths allows the selection of

appropriate level of efficiency, taking into account

customers’ transport needs and capabilities of the

premises.

May be connected into integrated systems, via sifting

hoppers, transfer stations, charging hoppers and directing

sleeves, to facilitate optimal transport solutions. Provides

the best supply system for bale presses, and the pit allows

supply of raw material from the ground.

Drum ScreenDivides the overall mass of the waste into different

fractions based on size, the size fraction selected

depending on the need of the sorting technology.

For municipal waste sorting the machine can be equipped

with knives to tear bags.

Municipal Solid Waste (MSW) SystemsBHS MSW systems maximise recovery of valuable recyclables,

DRS®; Nihot Single Drum Separator; Polishing Screen; NRT

Construction and Demolition (C&D) SystemsTurnkey systems designed for both simple, manual sort lines

accurate separation of even the smallest pieces of rock,

Bag Breaker®

Opens bags at high volumes without damaging content,

ensuring maximum recovery of valuable recyclables. Bags

are torn into large pieces for easy removal. Bagged material

can be fed directly into the BHS Bag Breaker® with an infeed

conveyor to achieve an evenly-metered flow rate. Higher

processing capacity than manual sorters, low maintenance

and operational cost, and easy to retrofit into an existing

facility.

OCC Separator®

Automatically and reliably removes OCC from newspaper,

mixed paper, other fibre, various plastic and metal

containers and debris. It increases system throughput and

provides accurate sizing of material, increasing the

percentage of OCC recovered and reducing the amount to

be manually sorted.

Glass Breaker Debris Roll Screen®

Designed for single stream/commingled and any

commingled container line process, the glass breaker uses

patented BHS disc technology to separate glass from fibre

and container streams. The Debris Roll Screen® is at the

heart of all glass screening and separating systems,

accurately screening glass out of the product stream

without the loss of high-value commodities such as flattened

aluminium or PET bottles.

Debris Roll Screen®

Designed to process single stream, municipal solid waste

(MSW), construction and demolition (C&D) waste, wood

waste, compost, green waste, plastic, glass, tyres and other

miscellaneous materials. Accurate material sizing is achieved

with the unique Tri Disc™ configuration and excellent

material agitation and separation is achieved. Large volumes

can be processed within a small surface area.

BULK HANDLING SYSTEMS

NIHOT AIR TECHNOLOGIESNihot air separation technology can be used on virtually all

types of solid waste with the highest degree of separation

(up to 99%).

Nihot Single Drum SeparatorThe Nihot SDS separates material based on density using

innovative air technology. The SDS can handle high volumes

of lightweight material, dividing the stream into two or three

fractions.

Nihot SDS i-Series A semi-mobile air separator in a plug & play version with

integrated dust filter, electrical cabinet and fitted with

retractable outriggers. High capacity with precise separation,

this unit removes more than 99% of light material, such as

shredded paper, from glass and other heavies.

Nihot WindshifterCan be applied in conjunction with a Single Drum Separator

to further purify the light fraction.

NRT OPTICAL TECHNOLOGIES

NRT In-Flight Sorting®

NRT optical units detect and eject material while in flight

after it has left the belt. Others typically detect over-the-belt

and eject material some time later. NRT’s In-Flight Sorting®

reduces motion-related error, eliminates signal error from

belt interference, and enables use of transmissive detection

for the industry’s highest signal-to-noise ratio. Optical units

have a full array of spectrometers for identification across

the entire belt width.

NRT SpydIR®-R utilizes reflective detection for opaque

polymers such as HDPE and PVC. It accurately detects and

ejects in flight, increasing purity levels and hit rate.

The NRT SpydIR®-T uses transmissive detection to separate

selected polymers from a mixed container stream. SpydIR®

is the only technology that uses PET Boost®, improving

the detection of thin wall PET, wet PET and full-sleeve

labelled PET.

NewSorter®

Designed for use in single stream/commingled and dual

stream processes, the BHS NewSorter® automatically and

effectively separates news and pams from mixed paper and

rigid containers by virtue of its patented in-line Tri-Discs™.

Disc design reduces material wrap, increasing recovery rates

and reducing downtime.

Polishing ScreenA highly effective separator of fibre and containers, the BHS

Polishing Screen has the unique ability to create three material

fractions - mixed fibre, containers and fines. The 3-sort unit

provides an extremely clean container stream that results in

improved recovery of valuable containers and virtually no loss

of fibre to residue. Flattened containers are separated from

fibre by virtue of exceptional material agitation.

Eddy Current SeparatorUses a strong magnetic field to efficiently and accurately

repel aluminium from incoming materials, recovering the

highest value product at high levels of purity.

System ControlsBHS system controls command the entire sorting system

with an advanced touch screen interface and reporting

system. They are flexible to meet changing conditions and

are customised.
