Warriors for God Tim preached on the n eed to be warriors. Taking the queue from some of the lesser known Old Testament stories, in particular the Children of Israel's battle for the city of Ai. How they laid there own plans and tried to take the city in there own strength and were routed suffering a major defeat after the Israelites were backed into a quarry and slaughtered. After that they took the City of Ai under God’s power and strength. “Do not be discouraged or afraid I will give you victory”, says God to Joshua, in Joshua Chapter 8, before the second battle of Ai. Tim looked at taking on the enemy using the book of Ephesians analogy of putting on the full armour of God and using the sword as our offensive weapon to deflect a demonic attack from the Devil. Paul talks about the sword being the Word of the Spirit, being Spirit filled and lead and the Holy Spirit talking directly to us. Paul also tells us to pray without ceasing. Tim drew an analogy of fighting evil with his SKA band heroes “The Specials” who took on the Racist Neo-Nazi National Front in the late 1970’s in Britain and won. He encouraged us to be Warriors for God and to take on the full armour of God and God will give us the victory. MBFC CLOSED 4 th July 2009

Sabbath June 27th

Sabbath June 27th

MBFC is

unable to use the Mt Barker Town

Hall.

It has been decided that we

will move our monthly Fellowship

Tea to Sabbath the 27th

and we will

meet at Parker’s home for Worshipand Bible Study lead by Pr Dave.

We will start at 3:00pm and

have tea at 5:00pm and close

Sabbath together.

Death!?!

As you know the MBFCData Projector has died and so we

have been using the Stirling Churchprojector. They would now liketheir projector back – which isunderstandable as they have verygenerously let us use it all year.

If we all put in about $50we could buy a new projector. So,if you are able to contribute about$50 (more or less) to the purchaseof a new Data Projector could youplease let me know ASAP.

Please don’t put any moneyinto the MBFC A/C yet until we seeif we can get enough moneytogether to buy the projector.

Cost of Projector $650.00

If you are able, can youplease let me know how much youcan contribute to the purchase of a new Data Projector?

Thanks

Nita

And Resurrection!?!

Miraculously the MBFC Data Projector has been resurrected!

Michael plugged it in on Sabbath afternoon and it worked – eventhough we had a quote for $100’s of repairs because it would not work!

Not sure what this means – maybe God doesn’t want us to spend money on a New Data Projector – but we probably can raise enough

between us to purchase a larger screen – If everyone is OK with this I canfollow that up when I return.
