The due diligence and establishment of the business was not going to plan under the guidance of one of the junior partners and cash burn rate was excessive. The role required an audit of the acquired assets - getting to grips with the business model - developing systems, procedures, creation of sales & marketing collateral and managing the day to day -Sales, Marketing, Finance and Operational matters.

Together with the sales team in Qld, NSW & WA created a sales funnel in six months of in excess of $20,000,000 potential.

Prepared the due diligence for the failed take over by Public Listed Company

Wholesale distribution business selling – “As Seen on TV” Merchandise through Mass Market Retailers - Using the power of TV sets on the retail shop floor to promote sales.

Together with Big W managed and carried out a successful trial of selling “As Seen on TV” merchandise on the retail shop floor using the Power of TV sets to demonstrate the product and call customer to action to purchase.

This was a Joint Venture between Guthy-Renker & Papermoon.

Was responsible for both overseas sourcing and buying through to the product placement & marketing.

Successful product launches and placements included:

Rugby World Cup 2003 merchandise - Big W & Australia Post - $1m plus sales

Catchabubble & Touchabubbles - TV Advertised Promotion with over1.5 million Units sold to all major toy retailers, department stores, major mass retail groups and discounters in Australia & NZ.

December 2002 had the top two selling items by volume in David Jones Toy Department Touchabubbles & Bath Confetti.

Winsor Pilates DVDs and VHS Tapes - David Jones, Dick Smith Power House, Kmart & Big W. Directed the product placement and marketing campaign promoting Winsor Pilates in retail - achieve 30% market share of Retail sales as monitored by GKF for the category health and fitness DVD and VHS Tapes sales ( Winsor Pilates &.Taebo 2)

7. Total Gym 1000 (personal home gym) sold 35,000 units with a retail value in excess of $10,000,000 through Big W and Farmers in New Zealand.2003 & 2004

Instrumental in facilitating the transition of the company from a privately owned family business to a public company structure owned by Panfida Ltd.

Negotiated together with the Managing Director the purchase of numerous business units to add to the retail operation, a wholesale distribution business in

Was part of the team that negotiated the privatization of the company through a buy back by the original owners from Panfida Ltd.

Assisted in downsized the enterprise following the dissolution of the public company, established the legal structures of the new entity, transferred the companies assets and reconstructed the financials of the new businesses.

Transferred from Pick n Pay Stores Limited in South Africa to Australia.

Responsible for the Financial and Management Operational Role in the Joint Venture Partnership between the Lieberman Family Company - JGL Investments of Melbourne and Pick n Pay South Africa in the establishment of Australia’s First Hypermarket in Brisbane.

Was part of the 5 Man Executive Management Team for the operation that successfully opened the project on time. (Now owned by Coles Group Ltd/ WesFarmers Ltd)

As Team Leader was responsible for creating and managing the largest single scanning POS System in Australia with over 70 checkouts in one line.

Create an annual turnover in excess of $100,000,000

As part of the 5 man team running the operation was responsible for the following sections

Finance and Administration (20 People)

Merchandise Manager / Controller of buyers for Clothing & Soft Goods ensured through proper range planning, financial / buying controls. Achieve markdowns below 5%. Managed 2 Buyers.

All operational sections including Centre Management, Receiving, Warehousing, Security and Checkout Operations - Capital Budgets of $20,000,000 for opening and annual operating expenses of $15,000,000 - (over 200 staff reports through Management of each section)
