As the name Wall Finishes itself suggests that it is finish given to the wall to enhance the interior or exterior look of the structure. Wall finishes used for the interiors are quite delicate and need maintenance. The new contemporary trend has brought about great deal of increase in the usage of various types of wall finishes for the aesthetic purpose in the interiors and exteriors.

Here is a list of different types of Plaster finishes:

Pearl- A subtle shimmer midway between egg-shell and semi-gloss offering a lustrous finishing touch.

Matte- This flat finish is great for hiding surface imperfections, while its angular shine helps make walls smooth and washable

Flat Enamel- A non-reflective appearance that helps conceal surface imperfections while providing some wash ability.

egg-shell- Great to use for walls, egg-shell finish has a slight hint of shine and holds up better to cleaning.

Low-Luster- A smooth, subtle sheen that's durable and easy to clean.

Medium-Luster- This higher-gloss finish is perfect for doors and trim.

The lighter paints are the base paints onto which stainer are added to obtain a darker shade

The stainer is charged separately ,so the darker paints are normally costlier than the lighter shades.

Other than conventional paints, oil paints are also used but largely on grills and other metal objects.

The stainer are mixed mechanically in the shop before delivery to avoid inconsistency in mixing.

The amount of stainer mixed depends on the shade decided by the costumer.

Method of installation : Direct application by means of an adhesive. Printable wallpaper

comes in rolls or adhesive squares. after the wallpaper is

installed it can be painted.

coated or textured wallpapers.

Also comes in rolls of 2ft X 17.5 m

Comes at a cost of Rs 2000 to more than Rs 4000 depending on

quality

Pros: With wallpaper, you can choose from hundreds of patterns,

colours, and design.

Some wallpapers can be painted, allowing you to put some texture in the room .

Wall papers are decorative and are less tedious to apply. You can even vary the way the wallpaper is placed in the

room. Wallpaper is easy to clean. Most of todays

wallpapers are coated so that they wipe clean from common

household marks .

CONS:

Removing existing wallpaper can be a tedious task that requires patience and the right tools to be effective.

Wall papers are also vulnerable to dampness and exposure to water

Laminates are applied on ply base. The ply base used is

mostly

12mm thick. If ply base has a thickness less than 6mm it has

a chance to get damaged. 18mm thick ply can also be

used but the cost rises.
