James 5: 1 – 6

I have seen a grievous evil under the sun: wealth hoarded

to the harm of its owner.(Ecclesiastes 5: 13)

Do not store up for yourselves treasures on earth, where moth

and rust destroy, and where thieves break in and steal . . .

For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.

James 5: 7 – 9

But with righteousness he will judge the needy, with justice he will give decisions for the

poor of the earth.(Isaiah 11: 4)

James 5: 10 – 12

Some faced jeers and flogging, while still others were chained and put in prison. They were stoned ;

they were sawed in two; they were put to death by the sword. They went about in sheepskins and

goatskins, destitute, persecuted and mistreated. . . .(Hebrews 11: 36 – 38)

The Lord is not slow in keeping his promise, as some

understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting

anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance.
