in that the water fl owing through them creates pulsating fi g u re Eights.Due to their appealing design, sound of the rhythmically fl ow i n gwater and fo rm s, F l ow fo rm s a re perfectly fitting for a whole va riety

of arc h i t e c t u ral and scenic designs. T h ey can be especially enri -ching for ornamental and natural ponds.

The diffe rent va rieties of F l ow fo rm s can be used for a larg erange of ap p l i c a t i o n s. A ffecting the contemplator and

also the water in a sensibly pleasant wa y, F l ow fo rm s can be used in pri vate ga rdens and interi o rs, on playgro u n d s, in

e n t rance halls and public square s, and also for c o m m e rcial water tre a t m e n t .

O ri g n i n a l l y, the F l ow fo rm Method© was dis-c ove rd by the British sculptor A . John Wi l ke s.

Later then it has been continuously re fi n e d .S i n c e 1 9 7 0 , Wi l ke s has been e x t e n s i ve l y studying nature ’s

a rchetypical fl owing patterns and rhy t h m s. After graduating from the R oyal College of A rt in London, Wi l kes founded the sculpting

d e p a rtment of Emerson College in East Sussex. Since then he has been chairing the Flow - D e s i g n - re s e a rch team fo r

Vi r b e l a - F l ow fo rm s and their institute.

O b j e c t i ve s

We consider our task to be the dissemination of A . John Wi l ke's lifewo rk , of hiss t riving for human sensitization towa rds the phemomenon wa t e r, and the concepts behind Flow fo rm s. We want to raise people’s awa re n e s s, that wa t e ris an elixir and a facilitator of life .

W h e n we s h ow p e o p l e h ow to apply and use Flow fo rm s, t h ey are able to see the well- suited rhythmic processes of life in the wa t e r.

E l e b o rate tests we re necessary in order to deve l o pthe special surfaces and pro p o rtions that are ab l eto generate lemniscatic movements (in the fo rm ofa fi g u re eight) and fl ow rates that appear in natura lfl owing water at any kind of curve or barri e r.With this special kind of movement and the aera t i-on they prov i d e ,F l ow fo rms can energetically rev i t a-lize our widely denaturalized tap wa t e r.

Water that is being treated rhythmically in this wa y,can support living processes like germination andfe rmentation and thus can be of significant va l u efor the production process in ma rket ga rd e n s,b a ke ri e s, b rewe ries or cheese dairi e s.The storage life of bread and natural juices can bep rolonged by rhythmic tre a t m e n t .Special mixing processes such as these needed fo rthe production of earth compounds in bio-dyna-mic agri c u l t u re are being enhanced through theuse of Flow fo rm s.F l ow fo rms have been used all over the wo rld (especially in New Zealand) for ma ny ye a rs becau-se they often offer more cost-effe c t i ve solutionsc o m p a red to technical stirring units.

F u rt h e rm o re , F l ow fo rms are successfully being usedas a supplemental stage in water treatment plants.Pa rt i c u l a rly in Scandinavia and England they havebeen deployed in the decentralized sewage tre a t-ment in reed- or cane-swamp-basins or in similarlaguna systems.
