Mechanical Engineering Department has organized project fair for GTU 8th

semester Students on 17/4/2018 total 141 students have participated in the fair.

Total 45 teams had participated in the fair. 27 teams have worked on their IDP

& 18 teams have worked on UDP. They have performed project work with

coverage of wide range of subjects related to the field of Mechanical

Engineering.

Students have made posters for their teams for giving brief technical overview

of their project. Students have also given presentation on their project work in

team wise. Mechanical Engineering Department has conducted this fair on 4

different locations. Group ID ME - 01 To 14 conducted in Thermal

Engineering Lab, ME - 15 To 24 were in Dynamics of Machine Lab, ME - 25

To 34 were in Automobile Lab &ME - 35 To 45 were in Drawing Hall II.

Mechanical Engineering Department has also invited experts from industry.

Shri Vinodbhai Patel from Ghanshyam Engineering company, Shri Ajaybhai

Vadher from Lorven Hydraulics PVT. LTD., Shri Miteshbhai Jadwani from

GEM Sanitarywares & Shri Nandanbhai Valambhia from Super Enggineering

Works. They appreciated student's effort for project work. They have given

suggestion to make more working models as project that will be helpful to them

for real field application of technology & engineering.

Cycle Time Reduction, Modeling of the hydro-pneumatic suspension system of

a rally truck, improvement in life of bearing used in pump, Design and analysis

of gating system of sprocket casting, building information modeling,

Modification of Robotic arm, extrusion process and their impact on pvc pipe

profile product quality, Design and development of on road safety device for

vehicle, design and improvement of VMC fixture, Study and modification of

aerodynamic behavior of car, reducing vibration and noise of automobile diesel

wheel chair by the application of chain drive mechanism, Automatic Threading

And Screw Feeding SPM For Brass And Aluminum Strips, Probe for casting

components, Modification in plant layout prior to productivity, Design of Turret

in Simple Lathe, clutch operated thread machine.
