We need to work and strategizes with Hispanic leaders and minorities across the state to issue conservative policy recommendations based on solid research that will support the advancement of the Hispanics. Canvassing and ID Voters Canvassing is the systematic initiation of direct

contact with a target group of individuals commonly used during political campaigns. A campaign team (and during elections a candidate) will knock on doors of private residences within a particular geographic area, engaging in face-to-face personal interaction with voters.

Canvassing may also be performed by telephone, where it is referred to as telephone canvassing. The main purpose of canvassing is to perform voter identification – to poll how individuals are planning to vote – rather than to argue with or persuade voters.

It acquired mega church membership lists. It mined public records for holders of hunting or boating licenses, and warranty surveys for people who answered yes to the question “Do you read the Bible?”. The “Voter Access and Modernized Elections Act“ The bill was basically engineered by an organization called the Colorado County Clerks Association, what we consider to be a secret association,” Kolwicz said. “The clerks wanted total control of the elections,” Marks said. The bill reduces the number of election observers from the parties, giving the clerks more autonomy over the election process, she said. The clerks association did not return a request for comment. Gessler said his office was excluded from the drafting process, despite the fact that he would be implementing the bill. Republican lawmakers were also excluded, said Colorado Republican Party chairman Ryan Call.

Purpose of Training for Polls The Purpose and Role The purpose of this training is to prepare

you for your role as an Election Observer and to explain the importance of this role. The term Election Observer is the generic title we will refer to throughout this video, but the official title of this role may be different in your state. The 10th Amendment of our Constitution provides for elections to be overseen at the state level, this means that election laws and titles can vary by state. However, most of the basic processes are the same. In addition to the training video, you’ll have this state specific eBook to highlight important information unique to your state.

Watchers bring balance to the polls, ensuring that all parties are represented, and are the citizen eyes and ears at the polls, ensuring that proper elections procedures are followed--and documenting and reporting if they are not.

Why Do We Need Election Observers?

Across the country, citizens are becoming increasingly

concerned about our electoral process. When election laws are not followed properly, or the laws are vague, it leaves the process open to problems including manipulation by those with partisan agendas. Without Election Observers present, these issues often go undocumented and unaddressed. TRUE the VOTE isn’t concerned with which political party you’re a part of, or which candidate you support - but we are very concerned about the integrity of our elections.
