You all (including too many others to name) have inspired me and allowed me the support and dedicaƟon to discharge my duƟes with graƟtude, condence and joy. This is truly a year that I will never forget and I thank you my brethren for the opportunity. I will look back over the years with pride and comfort knowing that we gave it our all. We have only a few more meeƟngs before the year is out. November will host our usual and reg- ular elecƟon of ocers with our public installaƟon that following Saturday at 5pm (dinner will be provided). It is with condent resolve that I hereby recommend our current line of ocers for promoƟon as well as welcome Brother Ramos’ chosen appointments as addiƟons to our line. I look forward and anƟcipate a delicious dinner and a harmonious elecƟon (remember the trowel’s emulaƟon of who best can work and best agree). In December we’ll have a holiday party at our stated meeƟng dinner. By the year’s end, our staof ocers, Past Masters, visiƟng Brethren and traveling companions together will have planned, parƟcipated, aƩended and/or gave witness to over 100 meeƟngs including but not limited to stated meeƟngs and its dinners, degree conferrals, fund raisers, blood drives, educaƟon nights, ocer nights out, lodge visitaƟons, trustees & other commiƩees, qualicaƟons, OCMOAs, OSIs, Secretaries, Treasurers, Masters and War- den’s Retreats, Grand Master’s RecepƟon, Youth Orders and Appending Bodies visitaƟons, Annual CommunicaƟon… and these are only the meeƟngs I can remember or refer to on our ocial calendar but I can conrm that we had many other informal 1-on-1s, breakfasts, lunches, phone calls (someƟmes in the middle of the night), emails, leƩers and the like. I reect on the symbolism of the beehive and the bee in short, “[that] we should ever be industrious ones; never siƫng down content while our fellow creatures around us are in want.” I’m reminded of our departed brethren who through it all have returned to their nal places of rest. I can’t help but think of the hour glass, not necessarily for its emblem of human life but its dichotomy between upper & lower, life and death, heaven and earth. Let it remind us at Ɵmes, our need to reverse our aƫtudes and acƟons for conƟnuity. I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers as my wife Nastasia and I are expecƟng our rst baby boy someƟme in early November. If I am missing from one or more of our upcoming events, I trust you’ll know why. Finally, I ask that the Lodge be serviceable to Brother Ramos in his year as Master. He is not only willing, qualied and able but has earned the respect and aecƟon of all good Masons yet sƟll requires our careful protecƟon, obedi- ence and consideraƟon as he expounds his duƟes. Serving him faithfully as our new Chief will ulƟmately be my greatest reward from the Lodge and he and his staof ocers have my unabridged & uncondiƟonal support. See ya'll at lodge. November/December Trestle Board

Anaheim Lodge 207 Free & Accepted Masons of the State of California

Gree ngs Brethren from the Sta on of Wisdom, I hope it goes without saying that it’s been a real honor and a pleasure serving the lodge this year but par cularly and especially to our excellent staff of officers. You all (including too many others to name) have inspired me and allowed me the support and dedica on to discharge my du es with gra tude, confidence and joy. This is truly a year that I will never forget and I thank you my brethren for the opportunity. I will look back over the years with pride and comfort knowing that we gave it our all. We have only a few more mee ngs before the year is out. November will host our usual and reg-ular elec on of officers with our public installa on that following Saturday at 5pm (dinner will be provided). It is with confident resolve that I hereby recommend our current line of officers for promo on as well as welcome Brother Ramos’ chosen appointments as addi ons to our line. I look forward and an cipate a delicious dinner and a harmonious elec on (remember the trowel’s emula on of who best can work and best agree). In December we’ll have a holiday party at our stated mee ng dinner.

By the year’s end, our staff of officers, Past Masters, visi ng Brethren and traveling companions together will have planned, par cipated, a ended and/or gave witness to over 100 mee ngs including but not limited to stated mee ngs and its dinners, degree conferrals, fund raisers, blood drives, educa on nights, officer nights out, lodge visita ons, trustees & other commi ees, qualifica ons, OCMOAs, OSIs, Secretaries, Treasurers, Masters and War-den’s Retreats, Grand Master’s Recep on, Youth Orders and Appending Bodies visita ons, Annual Communica on…and these are only the mee ngs I can remember or refer to on our official calendar but I can confirm that we had many other informal 1-on-1s, breakfasts, lunches, phone calls (some mes in the middle of the night), emails, le ers and the like. I reflect on the symbolism of the beehive and the bee in short, “[that] we should ever be industrious ones; never si ng down content while our fellow creatures around us are in want.”

I’m reminded of our departed brethren who through it all have returned to their final places of rest. I can’t help but think of the hour glass, not necessarily for its emblem of human life but its dichotomy between upper & lower, life and death, heaven and earth. Let it remind us at mes, our need to reverse our a tudes and ac ons for con nuity. I would appreciate your thoughts and prayers as my wife Nastasia and I are expec ng our first baby boy some me in early November. If I am missing from one or more of our upcoming events, I trust you’ll know why.

Finally, I ask that the Lodge be serviceable to Brother Ramos in his year as Master. PAGE 2 NOVEMBER/DECEMBER TRESTLE BOARD

From the South From the West Gree ngs Brethren from the Sta on of Beauty,

As the year progress-es, we find ourselves happily engaged in the business of Ma-sonry. I just re-turned from the 166th Grand Lodge Communica on in San Fran-cisco, a meaningful and most interes ng experience. I was able to renew contacts with brothers from all over the state, as well as trade ideas and experiences. We conducted the legisla ve and heard the judicial business of the order. A report on the passed, failed and held-over ma ers will be available at the November Stated Mee ng. An overview of services and ac-

vi es of our Order were reported, from the Masonic Homes to the Masonic Service Bureau, from the Youth Groups to the Cali-fornia Masonic Founda on, as well as oth-er groups our Order is ac ve with.

Our new Grand Master is Most Worshipful M. David Perry. Very Worshipful Art Sala-zar was elected Grand Treasurer (one of our Orange County boys). I am sure he has a ght rein on the finances already.

Novembers Stated Mee ng will be our tra-di onal Swiss Steak Dinner, bring your ap-pe te and be prepared to vote in the elec-

ons that night. December’s Stated Mee ng will serve as the kickoff for the Holiday Season as well as our new Masonic Year, with our new lineup of officers. See you there!

Un l the next me, respec ully and frater-nally submi ed,

Robb Morris Junior Warden

Gree ngs Brethren from the Sta on of Strength,

Welcome to the month of November where the Lodge will be building on the Great Year our Worshipful Master Brandon Cook has given our Brothers and the Cra .

One does not become a Master Ma-son by simply being raised to that

Great Fraternity of Brotherhood. One becomes a Master Mason by embracing the principles which our ceremonies have taught us. It behooves each of us to become mem-bers of the Cra in the spirit as well the men we are. Only then will we be worthy to receive the true meaning of a Master Mason.

Whether one reaches that goal is dependent on prac c-ing the true laws of Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth, and to be placed as a true living stone in that Celes al temple above to be seated with our Infinite Creator. It is im-portant that we constantly strive to make smooth that rough ashlar, and embrace and follow the Great and im-portant lessons of Freemasonry, which are taught by each of the Degrees we have vowed to cherish and follow along the rough and rugged road.

To be a Brother in the Lodge and follow our footsteps to the point of being a be er man each day of life and prac-

ce hose principals that support Brotherly Love, Relief and Truth within and outside the Lodge. Be the best that you can be to yourself, your family, our Brethren, The Cra and the World. You will find Pace and Joy in your life.

As we move into the New Year for the Lodge, each of us must remember the paths we have taken to make this year successful and to build on that Founda on to make our Lodge & Cra a be er place to be for all mankind.

Thank each of you for your commitments and con nued support for The Cra and the World we all are a part of.

Fraternally, Hugo Ramos Senior Warden

Hugo Ramos, HA, Sr. Warden Rob Morris, Jr. Warden

Ladies… remember November is our shopping trip to the 99 cents store to get one purchase and bring it in a clean bag…we’ll share the contents and have a good laugh. After Thanksgiving…bring a white elephant from your home to share at the December meeting/party. Wonder who will bring the most funniest (?) the most useful (?) and the one most of us desired (?)
