Meet the Alumni - Mr. Saurabh Khadilkar

We are gald to interview Mr. Saurabh Khadilkar, our alumni from MBA07 batch. It

was indeed nice talking to him and get to know his honest bitter and sweet

experiences about AIMT. We have certainly moved forward in a nice way and the

placements are picking up. Let’s see what he had to say.

How would you explain your experience at AIMT? Saurabh: It was a mixed bag with successes and disappointments. I could tell you an entire story about it but to

summarize everything "Those were 2 unforgettable years of my life ".

What change would you like to see in AIMT? Saurabh: The last time I visited AIMT back in April 2014 during the convocation, I saw many new things from June

2012 when I left the college. But a couple of things which I would still like to see changing:

- Better utilization of the available infrastructure.

- The institute can market itself more to attract more students and better companies for placement.

How was your placement experience at AIMT? Saurabh: Not good, to say the very least. I got placed with a company called HCX India as Assistant Manager

Business Development. It was honestly not a profile I was looking for but I chose to take it at the time due to limited

opportunities elsewhere. However it did not work out for me and I quit that job 7 months later.

The placement experience of our whole batch could have been a whole lot better. The institute had a chance to get

good companies on campus and give students better opportunities. Due to some decisions taken by the

management those opportunities were lost even before they came.

Can you tell us about your job profile and company you are with presently? Saurabh: I am working with iLeadFarmers Pvt Ltd Pune since January 2013. We are a marketing & branding

agency assisting IT & Software companies around the world with marketing and business development support.

My present role is Project Manager(Marketing & Communications) where I look after all the marketing & website

project deliveries, content writing and client communications. You can take some time out to visit

www.ileadfarmers.com.

How do you suggest that one should choose their industry? Saurabh: Well first figure out what you are good at and which job profile suits you. Industry is a very broad based

term so it would be confusing if you start thinking on that.

keen interest in watching football.

What would you like to say to your junior AIMTians? Saurabh: Keep learning and prepare yourself for your career. But enjoy a lot. These 2 years are never going to come

back again.
