PORT CHAIRMAN WILL PRESENT THE STATE OF THE PORTTickets and tables for the special event are available now

The Chamber of Commerce is partnering with the Port of Corpus Christi to present the first-ever

Chairman’s Report, a state-of-the Port luncheon event.

Mike Carrell, Port of Corpus Christi Chairman, will be discussing the latest developments at the Port,

including the future of former Naval Station Ingleside, which the Port acquired earlier this year. Many

companies have been interested in the 916-acre property but Port Commissioners have yet to accept any

proposals. Mr. Carrell also will discuss the status of the La Quinta Gateway Terminal Project and more.

The event will be held at 11:30 a.m., August 19, at the Solomon P. Ortiz International Center.

Individual tickets are on sale now for $50 and tables are available starting at $400. Sponsorships start at

$1,000. Tickets/tables can be purchased at the Chamber of Commerce, 1201 N. Shoreline Boulevard.

“This is a very exciting time for the Corpus Christi area and the Chamber encourages everyone to

attend the event,” said Foster Edwards, Chamber of Commerce CEO/President. “At least seven
