Volume 1 / Issue 3 - September 26, 2016 Shout-Outs Shout out to all the students who showed up to decorate their class hallway on Sunday, the participation was awesome! The winning class will be announced at the pep rally Thursday! Shout out to the cast & crew of The Crucible! They did an amazing job with the play. Thank you for sharing your talent with the school and community! Shout Mrs. Denton’s A4 for improving lately and to Mrs. Haverkamp’s A2 class for making a lot of progress with their online classes! Announcements It’s Lee High School’s 59 th annual Homecoming Week! Please participate in all the fun events and activities listed on the other side of this newsletter! Homecoming dance tickets can be purchased at lunches for $10. Buy your ticket early because tickets will be $15 at the door! See Ms. Pippin or Mr. Holder with any questions. The theme is “Midnight Carnival.” There will be a college visit trip to Tennessee State University, Fisk University, and Meharry Medical College the Saturday after Fall Break (October 15). While we are in Nashville, we will also be watching the Tennessee State Homecoming Game at the Tennessee Titans Stadium. Please have your permission slip turned in this Friday for a guaranteed spot! Permission slips are on the wall by the counselors offices. Attention all Beta Club members and candidates for membership: Don’t forget to come to our meeting on Tuesday to vote for club officers. We will be selling Belk Charity ticket and need you to get yours to sell! Attention all Lee students and teachers: The Beta Club is selling Belk Charity tickets for $5 each. This helps us to pay for our trip to the state convention. A ticket will get you $5 off your purchase during the Charity sale. So you are essentially getting your money back, you’re helping the Beta club as well. Thanks! ATTENTION ALL STUDENTS: We will be having a field day on Wednesday from 5-7 on the Football field before the Bonfire/Cookout from 7-9! At the field day, we will have Bubble Balls (pictured on right), a Slip-n-Slide, a class water balloon fight, and class kickball competition. If you want to participate in the Bubble Balls, you must get the waiver handed out to you in advisory class signed by your parent or guardian and turn it in to Ms. Pippin or bring it with you to the Field Day!
