Dear 1LS,

Right now, you are all probably freaking out about your memos. This is your first graded assignment of law school. Legal

citations may seem tedious, but they can really make or break your grade so don’t wait until the last minute to do them. The memo can

be intimidating, but there are plenty of resources to help you get through this. The Blue Book, WestLaw, and LexisNexis will be your best friends this month. The best piece of advice we can give you is

to take advantage of those resources, and make sure you schedule to meet with your Professors and LRAW tutors.

MEET YOUR NEW SBA REPRESENTATIVES!

Christian is from Cynthiana, Kentucky. He went to

undergrad at Northern Kentucky University and graduated with a

political science degree. For fun he likes to play soccer and watch

Parks and Rec.

Macey is the new 2L rep! She is from Stanfield, NC (right

outside of Charlotte) and went to undergrad here at USC. A fun fact about her is that she played softball in college here at USC.

Nick is from Dalton, Georgia. He attended Auburn University and

received a B.S. in Finance. He also lived in Sydney, Australia for six

months while going to the University of Sydney. He enjoys working out, SEC football, the Atlanta Braves and traveling.

Meet Alan Lee! He is a graduate from Appalachian State University

and is from Matthews, North Carolina. Some fun facts about himself are that in the little free time that he has, he loves to play piano and fly fish!

This is Callee Jumper from Columbia, South Carolina. She attended the University of South Carolina for undergrad. When Callee is not at

school you can find her spending time with her family, her Boykin Spaniel Kopper, or at USC Football games.

Nick is originally from New Jersey, but now considers himself to be from Charlotte, NC. He went to Quinnipiac University in Connecticut where he majored in Political Science/Legal Studies. If he’s not in the Commons or the

Library, you can catch him at Cantina 76. As a sports junkie, Nick will watch anything on ESPN and will not enjoy watching his beloved Yankees & Braves play each

against each other in the World Series.

Michael is from Columbia, SC and attended University of

South Carolina for undergrad. In his free time, Michael enjoys

intramural flag football on Mondays (team name is

Torts Illustrated), college football on Saturdays, fantasy football on Sundays and eating wings from Publick House.

Meet Matt Henderson! He is from Chesnee, South Carolina and went to Wofford College.

His fun fact is that he owns and raises about fifty head of cattle.

This is Lane and she is from Rock Hill, South Carolina. She attended University of South Carolina for undergrad. A fun

fact about her is that in her head, she believes that she is a professional hip hop

dancer!
