- The Mozambique Eyecare Project is a €1.5m Irish-Aid funded project that tackles the problems of avoidable blindness and poverty.

- Based in DIT, Dublin, the Project established the first degree course in optometry in Mozambique and developed vision centres to enhance accessibility and quality of eye-care services.

- Vital Communications organised for Mary Kennedy and RTE’s Nationwide to travel to Mozambique with the Project.

- Set up a full feature on Irish People in Mozambique.

international children’s medical charity.
