ADOPT-A-YOUTH MINISTRY
This program pairs 7th graders through
college seniors from MCRC with a non-
parental adult. Many incredible stories and
life-long relationships have been forged
through this ministry. As a new ministry
year approaches, we are looking for
individuals who are committed to praying
for and connecting with a youth from
MCRC over consecutive years. Please sign
up soon on the sheet near the Fellowship
Hall or in the back of the sanctuary. If you
have questions or need more info, contact
Kyle De Boer
AIM CONFERENCE TEAM
Mark Eekhoff, Kyle De Boer and the EET
Committee at MCRC are forming a team to
lead the 7th - 12th grade components of
the AIM Conference on November 24 -
28 in Nairobi, Kenya. Would you be
interested in joining this team? You would
travel to Kenya, lead different activities and
Bible lessons, meet many AIM missionary
families, see ministry sites, and more! If you
have questions or want to join, contact
George Den Hartigh or Kyle De Boer
MAINTENANCE POSITION
The Executive Team is now accepting
applications to fill the Maintenance
Position. A job description is available
upon request from the office. For more
information about the position, please
contact the head of our Property
Committee, Al Bos.
LOVE INC’S PERSONAL CARE PANTRY
We are collecting baby items at this time.
Please bring your diapers, diaper rash
ointment, wipes, wash, etc. to the south
foyer by next Sunday. Thank you!
FISCAL YEAR
The fiscal year for the General Fund and
Capital Improvement Fund of Manhattan
Christian Reformed Church ends August
31. Prayerfully consider how you may
give.
CHRISTIAN ED FUND UPDATE
Thank you for your generous giving to the
Christian Education Fund! As of the end of
last week we need to collect $37,531 for
this last year's (2017-2018) school year.
Please prayerfully consider how you may
be able to give to the Christian Education
Fund as we need to have this need
met by the end of August. Thank you!
CHRISTIAN EDUCATION FUND
As we look ahead to the 2018-2019
school year we would like to encourage
you to fill in a pledge card for the 2018-
2019 school year. We have received
information sheets and pledge cards form
the parents of our MCS students and are
now asking you as our church community
to come along side by filling out a pledge
card as well. The amount that we need to
pledge for the 2018-2019 school year
is $394,919. We have received pledges so
far in the amount of $348,495. We do
need to have our pledges in by the end
of August for the Christian Education
Fund to continue for next year. We would
like each of MCRC's covenant children to
have an opportunity for Christian day
school education. Information sheets and
pledge sheets were placed in your
mailbox last month. There are extra
pledge cards in the back of church and on
the table by the fellowship hall. Please
prayerfully consider how you may be able
to help support this ministry! You may
place your pledge card in the boxes in the
back of church or by the fellowship hall,
the church office, or the offering plates.
Thank you for your continued support of
our Christian Education Fund!
