In 2030:

• The world will be more populated and more persons will be older than at any othertime in Trinidad and Tobago’s history. Also, there is a declining share of school-age (1-14) children.
• Access to sufficient quality and quantities of food and water will be a major globalchallenge due to population growth, wasteful practices, climate change and massmigration.
• Fossils fuels will peak and solar will surpass coal, oil and gas.
• More streets, homes, vessels and planes will be smart and powered by alternativesources of energy, such as solar.
• Artificial intelligence will replace some jobs.
• Due to rapid changes in technology, job titles such as Human Organ Engineer, ClimateChange Reversal Specialist and Memory Augmentation Surgeon will be in vogue.

• By 2030, Trinidad and Tobago will be able to sustain its own development and provide a high quality of life for all its citizens for generations to come.
• The National Vision identifies the outcomes for the country to 2030.
• Overall, the Draft National Development Strategy (Vision 2030): • Provides the framework within which strategies and implementation plans can
be developed.
• Presents the broad priorities and the target time periods to achieve them.
• Provides for an orderly long term development process, inclusive of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
