Activity Overview• Students will individually navigate to virtual stores in SL

and compare with brick and mortar businesses.• Students will meet in a small group to share their

individual findings.• Students will summarize their small group findings and

share off-world with class.

Learning Objectives• After completing this project, students will be able to:

• navigate in Second Life to at least two sims which feature virtual businesses/shops.

• define and describe the key management functions of planning, organizing, leading, and controlling a business in the virtual world.

• identify and describe three similarities between brick and mortar businesses and virtual businesses implementation in SL.

• identify and describe three differences between brick and mortar businesses and virtual businesses implementation in SL.
