Vincent Anthony Codispoti, DDSage 87, of Kettering, OH, passedaway Friday, April 24, 2009 inDayton. He was preceded in death byhis wife Ruthella Codispoti, his par-ents Bruno & Anna Maria Codispotiand sister Elizabeth Codispoti. DocCodi attended Ohio University andgraduated from Ohio StateUniversity College of Dentistry in1950. He joined the Army Air Corpsin 1942 and was a Flight Officer inthe 8th Air Corps, 401stBombardment Group, 612thSquadron stationed in England. Hepracticed dentistry in the Daytonarea for 20 years and is rememberedfondly by many of his formerpatients. Doc Codi is survived by hischildren; Marissa (John) Joseph of
Beavercreek, Gregory (Connie)Codispoti of Columbus, OH, Jim(Allison) Codispoti of Kettering, andMichael (Kathy) Codispoti ofSugarcreek Township, OH, grand-children; Marc, Christopher,Benjamin and Rebecca Codispoti,Jill Joseph and Nikki McKiernan andgreat-grandson Jared McKiernan,two brothers; Isidore Codispoti ofCanton, OH and Andivo Codispoti ofBrewster, OH. Dr. James C. Dunawayage 71, of Dayton, departed this lifeon Monday, April 20, 2009 after a 21⁄2 year battle with prostate cancer.Jim was born on August 10, 1937near Enterprise AL a son of Hermanand Lillie Mae (Crumpler) Dunaway.He is preceded in death by his sib-lings, Pete, Edsel and Lovie. He issurvived by his wife of 50 years,Carole (Bock) Dunaway; four sons,David (Rebecca), Dr. Daniel(Angela), Matthew (Kirsten) and Dr.Romeo (Lena) Massoud; 11 grand-children, Spencer, Ike, Drew, Drake,Darick, Dawson, Grace, Katherine,Christian, Vianna, and Safia; and hisextended family, Jerry (Jane) Bock,Marilyn (Richard) Bock Woolumsand Michael Bock. He served aspastor in the West Ohio Conferenceof the United Methodist Church for
50 years. Churches served wereMoscow Ohio Charge, Glenwood inColumbus, Somerset, John Wesley inCincinnati, Christ Church inKettering, Trinity in Milford, FirstChurch in Van Wert and CentervilleChurch. He held degrees fromAsbury College, METHESCO and
United Seminary. Jim loved his fam-ily and his churches and was a greatfriend to all. Jim touched many livesboth in and out of the church. Hewill be greatly missed. Patty was aPediatric Registered Nurse atBrenner Childrens Hospital inWinston-Salem for nearly six years.She is survived by her spouse,Joseph Weller, of Panama City, FL.
Mother, Glenna Floan, Daughter,Lauren Connell, her brothers,Steve, Craig, Doug and his wife,Eileen, nieces and nephews, auntsand uncles, and cousins. Patty was agraduate of the Oakwood HighSchool class of 1975. She receivedher nursing degree from ChristHospital and Xavier University inCincinnati. Patty fought her disease
with dignity and a beautiful smilethat no one who knew her will everforget. Patty spent her life nurturingrelationships with friends and fami-ly. A memorial service was held onSaturday, the 25th of April at theLutheran Church of Our Saviour,155 Thruston Blvd E., Oakwood,Ohio.

Wally began a long mod-eling career at age five with therenowned painter and photographerNicholas Boris of Cincinnati. Herphotograph won first prize in Greeceand New York. She continued herwork with Mr. Boris until his deathin 1934. Her fashion career contin-ued with the Conover agency inNew York. She returned toCincinnati, modeling at variousdepartment stores and also inDayton, modeling at Rike’s formany years. Wally continued her
career at the Guenther, Brown andBerne Advertising Agency inCincinnati. She was a member ofDavid’s United Church of Christ.Family received friends Friday,April 24 at David’s Church, 170West David Road, Kettering.Services followed with Rev. BeckyErb Strang officiating. Interment inWoodside Cemetery, Middletown,Ohio. In lieu of flowers, contribu-tions may be given in Wally’s mem-ory to the Montgomery CountyPublic Library.
