FLAVORS OF PELJEŠAC: WINE & BITESA PRIVATE GOURMET TOUR OF PELJEŠAC PENINSULA (8 hours)

Explore the beautiful Pelješac peninsula, one of the best wine-growing regions in Croatia, and delight your taste buds with a real feast. The rugged terrain and rocky coastline create a dramatic backdrop to the cultivation of centuries-old vines. Enjoy private wine tastings with light snacks at two of the most renowned wineries of Pelješac.

The first part of the tour takes you on the off-road adventure through vineyards stretching between the Prapratno cove and Ponikve village. The conditions for growing vines here are extremely difficult: steep slopes, rocky and deeply grooved soil. However, this soil and the beneficial Dalmatian sun allow the vines to produce abundant grape bunches, traditionally used to make Croatia’s most renowned wines: Dingač, Postup, and Plavac.

Soak up the views while your knowledgeable host navigates the mountain roads and takes you to the vineyard. He will explain every step of the winemaking, followed by a wine cellar tour and a private wine tasting.

A short drive further north and you will discover a mythical region called Dingač, a protected winegrowing zone since 1964.
