Wednesday March 9 th , 2016 Family Literacy Night We are excited to share that our Family Literacy night will now be held Wednesday March 23 rd . It is an open house event from 5:30 – 7:00pm. There will be a variety of literacy activities located throughout the school as well as our Scholastic book fair. We look forward to sharing the love of literacy with you! World Down Syndrome Day is Monday March 21 st . It is a day to raise awareness of what Down Syndrome is, to help understand what it means to have Down Syndrome, and how people with Down Syndrome play a vital role in our lives and communities. Our weekly awareness campaign will include classroom explorations, daily announcements and a culminating celebration on Thursday March 24 th by wearing fun socks or lots of socks to show our support. Down Syndrome International invites everyone across the world to wear LOTS OF SOCKS to raise awareness on World Down Syndrome Day (WDSD). We want to get people talking about WDSD and we can do this if we all wear socks…BUT NOT JUST ANY SOCKS…wear the official LOTS OF SOCKS socks, or other brightly coloured socks, long socks, printed socks, 1 sock… even 3 socks for 3 chromosomes. Family Literacy Night We are excited to share that our Family Literacy night will now be held Wednesday March 23rd. It is an open house event from 5:30 – 7:00pm. There will be a variety of literacy activities located throughout the school as well as our Scholastic book fair.
