A male age around 35 years, height 5’7”, wheatish complexion, face crushed by train, wearing white shirt blue pant and badami underwear, found on 29-6-2009.3. A male age around 75 years, height 5’8”, fair complexion, oval face, normal built, wearing Dhoti, Kurta and matmaila chadar, found on 26-6-2009.

THREE SNATCHER/PICK POCKETER ARRESTED BY PS NAND NAGRI, 17 MOBILES RECOVERED, INVOLVED IN 200 INCIDENTS OF

SNATCHING/PICKPOCKETING

The staff of PS Nand Nagri has arrested three Snatchers/Robbers/Thief namely Sanjeet @ Sunil, Firoz and Saleem @ Parvez & recovered 17 stolen mobile phone instruments, 2.4 Kg. Ganja and put their efforts to control the incidents of snatchings/pick pocketing.

BRIEF FACTS

During last few days the incidents of Snatchings/Pick pocketing were increasing in and around the area of Nand Nagri. To curb this menace a team consisting of Inspr. Sanjay Nagpal, SI Vijay Kumar, ASI Rampal, HC Anil Kumar, Ct. Sonu and Ct. Amit was constituted under the supervision of ACP/Seema Puri-Shri Rajesh Deo and SHO/Nand Nagri Shri Satish Sharma. The team collected and compiled the data of different criminals and started to keep watch on them. In this process informers were also deployed. During the process of checking, the members of the team apprehended one Sanjeet @ Sunil S/o Rajbal R/o Vill. Kharcholi, Meerut (U.P.) and recovered 2.4 Kg. Ganja from his possession. Hence a case FIR no. 198 dt. 4.7.09 u/s 20 NDPS Act PS Nand Nagri was registered and investigation was taken up by SI Prashant Anand. The accused Sanjeet @ Sunil is a desperate Snatcher/Robber and has been found involved in more than 13 cases of Snatching, Arms Act, Robbery & NDPS Act of PSs Anand Vihar, Pandav Nagar, Shakarpur, Farsh Bazar, Nand Nagri, Seema Puri, Bhajan Pura, Shahdara etc.

On sustained interrogation the accused Sanjeet @ Sunil disclosed to have committed about 200 incidents of pick pocketing of Mobile phone instruments & cash and 12 incidents of snatchings of gold chain alongwith his associate Sanjay of Trilok Puri, in the area of Mandawali, Farsh Bazar, Anand Vihar, Preet Vihar, Shakarpur, Seema Puri, Harsh Vihar etc. As per his confessional statement, 03 other cases of Snatchings of gold chains of PSs Harsh Vihar, Seema Puri and Farsh Bazar have been worked out. On his instance, 16 mobile phone instruments suspected to be stolen have also been recovered, which were taken into police possession as per the provisions of section 102 CrPC.

In another incident on 4.7.09, on the complaint of one Kailash Chand of Saboli Extn. Harsh Vihar, a case of pick pocketing of mobile phone instrument was registered vide FIR no. 199/09 u/s 379/411 IPC at PS Nand Nagri and the accused Firoz S/o Liyakat Ali R/o H. No. 745, Gali no. 7, Nehru

Vihar, Gokul Puri was apprehended red handed on the spot and stolen mobile phone instrument was recovered. The investigation of the case was entrusted to HC Bala Saheb.

In one more incident on 4.7.09, on the complaint of Smt. Sunita of Dishad Garden a case of snatching of a pair of gold ear rings was registered, vide FIR no. 200/09 u/s 379/356 IPC at PS Nand Nagri against Salim @ Parvez of Sunder Nagri and the investigation was entrusted to SI C.P. Singh. During investigation alleged accused Salim @ Parvez was arrested

-2-and the snatched pair of ear rings has been recovered on his instance. On further interrogation he disclosed to have committed one more incident of snatching of ear rings in the area of PS Farsh Bazar. The said case registered vide FIR no. 57/09 dt. 24.3.09 u/s 379/356 IPC PS Farsh Bazar, has also been worked out.

PERSONS ARRESTED AND THEIR PROFILE

1. Sanjeet @ Sunil S/o Rajbal R/o Vill. Khardoli, Meerut (U.P.) Presently residing in the area of Nand Nagri and Karawal Nagar, aged 24 years.

He is a desperate Snatcher/Robber and has been found involved in more than 13 cases of Snatching, Arms Act, Robbery & NDPS Act of PSs Anand Vihar, Pandav Nagar, Shakarpur, Farsh Bazar, Nand Nagri, Seema Puri, Bhajan Pura, Shahdara etc.

2. Firoz S/o Liyakat Ali R/o H. No. 745, Gali no. 7, Nehru Vihar, Gokul Puri, Delhi.

He has been found involved a in two casesof Arms Act of PS Kashmere Gate and Nand Nagri of year 2003 & 2007. His brother Sartaz is a BC of PS Nand Nagri who was running absent for last about one year and was arrested vide FIR no. 166/09 dt. 1.6.09 u/s 380/411 IPC, PS Nand Nagri. 3. Saleem @ Parvez S/o Shamsher R/o Jhuggi no. E-57/C-449, Sunder Nagri, Delhi, aged 26

years.

He is a desperate Robber and BC of PS Nand Nagri. He is a Drug addict and for his expenses he used to commit snatchings and robbery. He was released from the jail just 2/3 days back in a case of Attempt to Murder. After his release he again started snatchings etc.

THREE CRIMINALS ARRESTED AND STOLEN PROPERTY WORTH RS. 80000/- RECOVERED

With the arrest of (1) Sadiq @ Siddiq s/o Nazim Seikh r/o C-171, J.J. Colony Bawana,

Delhi (2) Naif Ul @ Guda s/o Majbul Sheikh r/o B-370, J.J. Colony, Bawana, Delhi and (3)

Shahabuddin @ Bhura s/o Alijan r/o B-538, J.J. Colony, Bawana, Delhi North District police has

busted a gang of thieves involved in several cases of bag/carton lifting from rikshaws, thelas and

from the godowns of transporters.

INCIDENT AND TEAM

A secret information was received by Special Staff that two person would be coming at

Qutub Road, Sadar Bazar with stolen goods. A team consisting SI Naseeb Singh, ASI Om

prakash, HC Prabhu Dayal, HC Ranbir Singh, HC Pardeep, Ct. Ravi, Ct. Mohit, Ct. Sudesh, Ct.

Yogender Giri and Ct. Ansar Khan under the leadership of Insp. Satish Kumar and close

supervision of Sh. N. K. Meena, ACP, Operation Cell was constituted. A trap was laid and two

persons namely Sadiq @ Siddiq S/O Nazim Seikh R/O C-171, J.J. Colony Bawana, Delhi, Naif

Ul @ Guda S/O Majbul Sheikh R/O B-370, J.J. Colony, Bawana, Delhi were apprehended at

Qutub Road and two bags containing shoes and bags were recovered from them. They could not

give any ownership proof of those goods and were subsequently arrested vide DD No. 35A u/s

103 D.P. Act, P.S. Sadar Bazar.

INTERROGATION

During thorough interrogation they disclosed that they alongwith their associates commit

theft by lifting bags and cartons from moving rickshaws, thelas and from the godowns of

transporters. They further disclosed that they used to sell these stolen articles to their associate

Shahbuddin. On the basis of their disclosure, the receiver of stolen property namely

Shahabuddin @ Bhura s/o Alijan r/o B-538, J.J. Colony, Bawana, Delhi was also arrested and

stolen property was also recovered from his residence.

PROFILE OF ACCUSEDS

1. Sadiq @ Siddiq, aged 22 years s/o Nazim Seikh r/o C-171, J.J. Colony Bawana,

Delhi. He is illiterate and unmarried. He came in contact with the criminal

elements and involved himself in criminal activities to earn easy money.

1. Naif-Ul @ Guda, aged 18 years s/o Majbul Sheikh r/o B-370, J.J. Colony,

Bawana, Delhi belongs to a poor family and is illiterate. He came in contact with

the criminal elements and involved himself in criminal activities to earn easy

money.

2. Shahabuddin @ Bhura, 38 years s/o Alijan r/o B-538, J.J. Colony, Bawana, Delhi

is married and has six children. He involved himself in criminal activities to earn

quick money.

RECOVERY

Different articles like clothes, garments, mosquito nets, utensils, gas stove, shoes and

footwear, suitcases, purses, scissors, buttons, cosmetics, spices etc. have been recovered.

DREADED FUGITIVE ROBBER NABBED : TWO ROBBERIES CRACKED

With the arrest of one Sanjay Choudhary aged 34 years s/o Kalu Ram r/o E-101, New Ranjit Nagar, Delhi, Central District police has worked out two robbery cases of Police Stations Patel Nagar and DBG Road of Central District. He was also declared Proclaimed Offender in case FIR Nos. 50/08 u/s 392 IPC PS Moti Nagar and 129/09 u/s 382 IPC PS DBG Road, Delhi. One wrist watch make ‘Raymond’ robbed in case FIR No. 116/09 PS Patel Nagar has been recovered from his possession.

TEAM A team consisting of SI Bharat Singh I/C PP Ranjit Nagar, HC Ashok, HC Sunil, Ct.

Rajinder, Ct. Krishan and Ct. Sanjeev was constituted under the supervision of Inspr. Magan Singh Shekhawat SHO/Patel Nagar and overall supervision of Shri Mangesh Kashyap ACP/Patel Nagar, Central District, Delhi.

INVESTIGATION & INTERROGATION

Due to increasing incidents of robberies in the area of Patel Nagar, a team consisting of above mentioned police officers was constituted and intelligence was developed about the robbers active in the area of Patel Nagar. On 05.07.09, a secret information was received by Ct. Rajinder that a desperate robber namely Sanjay Choudhary who was involved in several cases of robberies would come to Nangli Village, Jotram Temple. Immediately, the police team laid a trap around Jotram Temple in plain clothes. At about 1 PM, one person was apprehended at the instance of the informer. He was identified as Sanjay Choudhary r/o New Ranjit Nagar, Delhi who is a desperate bus robber.

During sustained interrogation, he disclosed that he along with his associates has committed a number of robberies in different parts of Delhi. He and his associates used to identify the crowded bus stops and thereafter, they boarded in the crowded buses. Then, they would chose the person who might be in possession of money. They would cover him and pick the cash from his pocket. They also used to carry weapons and dared to use it to thwart any resistance by the aggrieved person. Then, they would get down from the running bus and distribute the booty among associates. The looted money would be spent on their luxuries. He also confessed to have been involved in the robbery cases of PS Patel Nagar and DBG Road registered vide FIR Nos. 116/09 and 129/09 respectively. At his instance, one wrist watch make ‘Raymond’ robbed in case FIR No. 116/09 PS Patel Nagar has been recovered.

Accused Sanjay Choudhary is a B.C. of Bundle ‘A’ of PS Patel Nagar and has been previously involved in 38 cases of robberies, theft, Arms Act, NDPS Act etc. of different police stations of Delhi. He was also declared Proclaimed Offender in case FIR Nos. 50/08 u/s 392 IPC PS Moti Nagar and 129/09 u/s 382 IPC PS DBG Road, Delhi

Further investigation is in progress and efforts are being made to arrest his associates and to affect more recovery.

He is previously involved in 38 cases of robberies, theft, Arms Act, NDPS Act etc. of different police stations of Delhi. He is a BC of Bundle ‘A’ of PS Patel Nagar. He was running absent since last one year and was also declared Proclaimed Offender in case FIR Nos. 50/08 u/s 392 IPC PS Moti Nagar and 129/09 u/s 382 IPC PS DBG Road, Delhi.

PRESS RELEASE

The ICD Transport Operators Association has sent a copy of its Press

Release to this office stating that the export business has come to a

grinding halt at ICD, Tughlakabad mentioning that the Delhi Police has

imposed ban on the movements of cargo containers carrying trailers into

Delhi through all the borders and has restricted their movements for 24

hours in Delhi.

The facts are that various steps have been taken to decongest Delhi

Roads and to allow goods vehicles to ply on Delhi roads during restricted

hours. In line with this policy, the cargo containers carrying trailers have

been asked to enter Delhi via Badarpur border to reach ICD, Tughlakabad.

Secondly, any movement within Delhi should be done strictly during non

peak hours i.e. 11 AM to 5 PM and 9.30 PM to 7.30 AM on ring and outer

ring road. This principle is being followed for the past 5 years when the

decisions were taken looking at the interest of container cargo.
