Jezus Is De Goede HerderJezus is de goede herder.Jezus Hij is overal.Jezus is de goede herder, brengt mij veilig naar de stal.

Als je ’s avonds niet kunt slapen, als je bang in ’t donker bent, denk dan eens aan al die schaapjes, die de Heer bij name kent.Jezus is de goede herder.Jezus Hij is overal.Jezus is de goede herder, brengt mij veilig naar de stal.

En wanneer je soms alleen bent,en je hart is vol verdriet, denk dan aan de goede herder,Hij vergeet zijn schaapjes niet.

Jezus is de goede herder.Jezus Hij is overal.Jezus is de goede herder, brengt mij veilig naar de stal.

We prayAll: Almighty God, to whom all hearts are open, all desires known,

Prayer after Communion:[a moment of silence]

All: Father of all,we give you thanks and praise, that when we were still far offyou met us in your Son and brought us home.Dying and living, he declared your love, gave us grace, and opened the gate of glory.May we who share Christ’s body live his risen life;we who drink his cup bring life to others;we whom the Spirit lights give light to the world.Keep us firm in the hope you have set before us,so we and all your children shall be free, and the whole earth live to praise your name;through Christ our Lord.Amen.

New Testament Lesson: Ephesians 3:13-21So I ask you not to lose heart over what I am suffering for you, which is your glory. For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, from whom every family in heaven and on earth is named, that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of

The Gospel: St Luke 7:11-17Priest: Hear the Gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ, according to Luke. All: Glory to you O Lord.Soon afterwards he went to a town called Nain, and his disciples and a great crowd went with him. As he drew near to the gate of the town, behold, a man who had died was being carried out, the only son of his mother, and she was a widow, and a considerable crowd from the town was with her. And when the Lord saw her, he had compassion on her and said to her, “Do not weep.” Then he came up and touched the bier, and the bearers stood still. And he said, “Young man, I say to you, arise.” And the dead man satup and began to speak, and Jesus gave him to his mother. Fear seized them all, and theyglorified God, saying, “A great prophet has arisen among us!” and “God has visited his

Agnus Dei

All Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world, have mercy on us.

Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world, have mercy on us.

Lamb of God, you take away the sin of the world, grant us peace.

All We do not presume to come to this your table, O merciful Father,

trusting in our own righteousness, but in your manifold and great mercies. We are not worthy so much as to gather up the crumbs under your table. But you are the same Lord, whose nature is always to have mercy. Grant us therefore, gracious Lord, so to eat the flesh of your dear Son Jesus Christ, and to drink his blood, that our sinful bodies may be made clean by his body and our souls washed through with his precious blood, and that we may evermore dwell in him, and he in us. Amen.

The Communion

Baptized persons who are communicant members of other Churches which subscribe to the doctrine of the Holy Trinity and are in good standing in their own Church are welcome to Communion. Come forward with faith, hope, and charity, discerning the Lord’s body.

Those who do not wish to receive communion are welcome to come forward for a blessing – you may indicate by crossing your arms over your chest at the altar rail.

(we kneel)

All glory be to you, our heavenly Father, who, in your tender mercy, gave your only Son our Saviour Jesus Christto suffer death upon the cross for our redemption;who made there by his one oblation of himself once offereda full, perfect and sufficient sacrifice, oblation and satisfactionfor the sins of the whole world;he instituted, and in his holy gospel commanded us to continue,a perpetual memory of his precious death until he comes again.Hear us, merciful Father, we humbly pray, and grant that, by the power of your Holy Spirit,we receiving these gifts of your creation, this bread and this wine, according to your Son our Saviour Jesus Christ’s holy institution,in remembrance of his death and passion, may be partakers of his most blessed body and blood;who, in the same night that he was betrayed, took bread and gave you thanks; he broke it and gave it to his disciples, saying:

Take, eat; this is my body which is given for you;do this in remembrance of me.

In the same way, after supper he took the cup and gave you thanks;he gave it to them, saying:

Drink this, all of you; this is my blood of the new covenant, which is shed for you and for many for the forgiveness of sins.Do this, as often as you drink it, in remembrance of me.

All: Amen.

[a moment of silence]

Let us pray. All: Our Father, who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name; thy

kingdom come; thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Give us this day our daily bread. And forgive us our trespasses, as we forgive those who trespass against us.And lead us not into temptation; but deliver us from evil. For thine is the kingdom, the power and the glory, for ever and

ever.

Amen.

The TalkThe Creed

We believe in one God, the Father, the Almighty, maker of heaven and earth, of all that is, seen and unseen.

We believe in one Lord, Jesus Christ, the only Son of God,eternally begotten of the Father,God from God, Light from Light, true God from true God,begotten, not made,of one Being with the Father;through him all things were made. For us and for our salvation he came down from heaven, was incarnate from the Holy Spirit and the Virgin Maryand was made man.For our sake he was crucified under Pontius Pilate;he suffered death and was buried. On the third day he rose againin accordance with the Scriptures;he ascended into heaven and is seated at the right hand of the Father. He will come again in glory to judge the living and the dead, and his kingdom will have no end.

We believe in the Holy Spirit, the Lord, the giver of life, who proceeds from the Father and the Son,who with the Father and the Son is worshipped and glorified, who has spoken through the prophets. We believe in one holy catholic and apostolic Church. We acknowledge one baptism for the forgiveness of sins.We look for the resurrection of the dead, and the life of the world to come. Amen.
