Summer Enrollment at its Highest Ever
This past summer, Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis
met a new goal by serving 1,431 youth during its summer day
camp programs in the St. Louis area. Camp was held at
seven locations, including the newly added Riverview
Gardens Club that was underwritten by several community
partners including Regional Business Council, United Way
and St. Louis Social Venture Partners. Summer campers,
ages 6-18, participated in educational, recreational, and
social activities as well as field trips and other enrichment
activities on-site and in the community.

After School Programs Start TODAY
Statistics note between the hours of 3-7 pm, youth left alone
are more prone to risky behavior. Do you know where your
kids are after school each day? Enroll them in the Boys &
Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis, and you’ll know exactly
where they are! We have seven Clubs, serving youth ages
6-18, in St. Louis City & County, and we also serve teens at
Roosevelt and Normandy High Schools, keeping them on
track for on-time graduation. Membership in the Boys & Girls
Clubs includes homework assistance, tutoring, college and
career planning, recreational activities, free dental and vision
care and healthy meals. Ask us about transportation in select
locations when you call. For more information, click here.

Great Futures Gala
Thanks to many sponsors and supporters, the “Great Futures
Gala”, the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis’ largest
fundraiser, grossed nearly $360,000 last year. Event
proceeds were used to send thirty teens to the Boys & Girls
Clubs of America Keystone Leadership Conference as well
as provided support for the Diplomas to Degrees program,
Mentor St. Louis, Keystone Clubs, Money Matters, and
Career Launch.
The 2016 Gala
will be held on
Saturday,
November 12th at
the Hyatt
Regency at the
Arch
and showcase the
youth who
embody the

ideals of the
Club’s mission to realize their full potential as productive,
responsible and caring citizens. The highlight of the evening
will be the selection of the 2016 Youth of the Year! We are
eternally grateful for this year’s co-chairs Michael Kennedy,
Jr., Bill & Lisa White and Craig & Regina Fowler! Join us at
the celebration by clicking here. For additional information on
sponsorship or with questions, contact Jawana Reid, here.
Nestle Celebrates Anniversary at the Club
As part of their 150 anniversary, thousands of Nestle
employees all over the country volunteered at hundreds of
Boys & Girls Clubs! Local Nestle-Purina employees
volunteered at BGCSTL Adams Park Club on August 4th and
assisted with their field day activities. Many of the employees
expressed how that day of service and interacting with our
youth was so much fun and had changed their lives! Happy
150th birthday NestleUSA!
Dental Clinic Open for Business

Clubs Give Back to the Club
St. Louis photography company, B’Free Paparazzi, partnered
with several night life event professionals in the St. Louis
area to start a charitable giving campaign. Each time an
evening event is held, the group of producers gave a portion
of the proceeds to Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis!
So far, $1,000 has been donated toward providing snacks to
over 500 youth at the Club.
LeadersBridge Gives Back
LeadersBridge, an organization helping individuals, groups
and organizations cross their bridge to greatness, recently
conducted the Winning Wheels team building event where
their project was to build twenty-two new Huffy bicycles for
BGCSTL youth at our Adams Park Club. The event was held
at the Hyatt Regency at the Arch and ended when the
unsuspecting kids entered the room. They were shocked to
see the bikes lined up and waiting for them. The group also
provided helmets for each of the children.

The mission of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis (BGCSTL) is to inspire and enable youth ages 6 to 18 to realize their
full potential as productive, responsible and caring citizens. For nearly 50 years, BGCSTL has been providing after-school, teen, sports
and summer programs to youth in the St. Louis area while also providing a safe place for them to learn and grow. The Clubs now
serve St. Louis youth at seven locations (Adams Park Club, Ferguson Middle School Club, Grannemann Elementary School Club,
Herbert Hoover Club, O’Fallon Park Club, Riverview Gardens Club and Hazelwood Southeast Middle School Club), within two High
Schools (Normandy and Roosevelt High School) and five additional elementary schools through our Mentor St. Louis Program.
