Madrid

Madrid is an incredible city to visit any time of year because the Spanish capital

offers so many opportunities. There are innumerable sights to see and

neigborhoods to lose yourself in. Gran Via is the most famous street in Madrid and

is where you can find the most important cinemas and theaters in the city—it is a

street that never sleeps. Puerta del Sol is one of the most well-known squares in

Madrid. It is where you will find the famous statue of the Bear and the Strawberry

Tree, a symbol of Madrid’s history that is featured on its coat of arms. Near the

Puerta del Sol and the Royal Palace is the Plaza Mayor, the Main Square of Madrid.

It is one of the oldest squares in Spain, built in the 16th and 17th centuries.

In Madrid you will enjoy a private guided tour of Habsburg Madrid. You will see

churches, palaces, convents and old Arab walls as you wander down narrow

streets and through squares. The tour will show you what the city was like during

the first empire of the modern world. After a break at a cafe or market, the tour

will finish at the Royal Palace.

You will also enjoy a Flamenco Show and dinner. The performance will bring some

of Andalucía’s spirit to Madrid and prove why Flamenco has become such a

popular image of Spain. The performance takes place at Cafe Chinitas, which has

seen and continues to see the most important artists of the genre on its stage.

A guided visit to the Prado Museum is also included. The Prado is a world-class

museum, home to many masterworks and the art of master painters. Many works

by Bosco, Goya, and Velazquez are housed here, including Velazquez’s

masterpiece “Las tres meninas.”

Toledo

Toledo is the capital of the Castilla-La Mancha region and

the old seat of the Castille court. It is located in the center

of the country, only 70 kilometers from Madrid. The city of

Toledo is a National Monument and a UNESCO Patrimony

of Mankind. The city is set on a rocky promontory and is

surrounded by the Tajo river. Considered by many to be a

second Rome, Toledo is definitely a city like no other. It is

unique in its details, history, culture, and charm. The city is

famous for the coexistence of three cultures--Christian,

Muslim, and Jewish cultures all left their mark on this city.

Losing yourself in its narrow streets, plazas, and gardens

will be a highlight of your visit and an incomparable

experience.

Your visit to Toledo includes a multi-course lunch at the

very traditional Casa Aurelio. In Spain, lunch is traditionally

the largest meal of the day and can be taken very leisurely.

Enjoy!

Granada Granada is most famous for the incredible Alhambra. The Alhambra complex is the most

spectacular Arab fortress in the world and it is the symbol of Granada. The rest of the city has a

lively and monumental character because of the hustle and bustle from the shopping streets

and tapas bars and the impressive architecure like the Cathedral, the symbol of Christianity in

Granada which happens to make an excellent starting point for a walk through the heart of the

city. Beside the cathedral, you will find the Royal Chapel, pantheon of the monarchs. A little

further on, you will find the Monastery of Saint Jerome, a first-class Renaissance gem.

The guided tour of the Alhambra ensures that you see and make the most of this indescribably

beautiful site. The Alhambra is the most visited monument in Spain. The complex is made up

the the Nasrid palaces, gardens, and fortress. It represents all the power and splendor of the

Nasrid dynasty. It was built in 1239 and changed hands from Muslim rulers to the Catholic Kings

in 1492.

Córdoba

Cordoba is a city with a huge cultural and

monumental legacy. UNESCO recognized its

cathedral and the surrounding urban area

as a World Heritage site in 1994. The

Mezquita Cathedral in Cordoba is the most

important monument of Western Islam and

one of the most impressive in the world.

The guided tour of Cordoba begins with the

Mezquita and continues into the historic

Jewish quarter, through its charming

narrow, winding streets and beautiful patios

to visit the Calleja de las Flores, the Street

of Flowers.

6

Sevilla

Happiness may be the best word to describe the

essence of Seville. A city of almost 3000 years of

history, it seduces visitors with style of living and

its hospitable locals that know how to make the

most of each moment and also share it with you.

This spirit is what makes Seville special. This spirit

is found in its narrow streets, in corners filled with

history, enriched by the different cultures that

have made it their home. These cultures have

each left their own influences that have

contributed to what Seville is today. We can

admire the cultural, monumental, and artistic

legacy in Seville’s enchanting streets, museums,

gastronomy, and festivals.
