With a GDP growth estimated at 3.2% for the end of 2017, inflation in check and unemployment slowly reducing, the picture for Spain is positive.
A positivity felt in hospitality which had a fantastic year, its best year in terms of investment value. Residential gained a lot of momentum and optimism, after years of struggle following the financial crisis.
Real estate leaders are now focusing on new trends emerging across Europe, from challenges and opportunities e-commerce presents for retail and logistics, to the development of co- working spaces and PRS.
España GRI 2018Con un crecimiento económico estimado en 3.2% en el 2017, un nivel de inflación controlado y reducción en la tasa de desempleo, se percibe un panorama bastante positivo en España.
El repunte económico se ha reflejado en la recuperación de varios sectores y clases de activos inmobiliarios. El sector hotelero, por ejemplo, tuvo un año fantástico impulsado por el aumento del turismo extranjero y superó la inversión comparada a sectores como el de oficinas. El sector residencial sigue ganado gran impulso y presenta un drástico cambio luego de diez años de recesión.
En 2018 será imprescindible considerar las nuevas tendencias impulsadas por el “e-commerce”y la necesidad de cambio se evidencia en los sectores de retail y logística. Por otro lado, será importante considerar el comportamiento del consumidor sobretodo de las nuevas generaciones que demandan productos “nuevos” en el mercado español, como es el caso del “co-working”. ¿Se adaptará el sector inmobiliario español a las tendencias marcadas por las nuevas generaciones?

Prior to establishing ActivumSG, Saul headed the European real estate investment team which advised the Cerberus Capital Management companies on German and European investment opportunities. In a nine-and-a-half year career at Cerberus, Saul helped to open and run investment advisory offices for the Cerberus management companies in 4 countries. He advised on investments in real estate, real estate debt, NPLs and operating businesses.
DANIEL DEJANOVICHead of European Real Estate & Senior MD
Mr. Dejanovic joined Cerberus in June 2006. Prior to joining Cerberus, Mr. Dejanovic worked in the corporate finance arm of Ernst & Young in their London business modeling and valuation team from 2005 to 2006. From 2004 to 2005 Mr. Dejanovic worked for the Australian subsidiary of China Light and Power (CLP) in Business Development and Project Finance. From 1998 to 2004, Mr. Dejanovic worked for the Australian subsidiary of Cheung Kong Infrastructure Holdings Limited and Hong Kong Electric Holdings Limited in various rolls across Corporate Treasury, Financial Accounting, Management Accounting and Commercial Analysis.

Mark is a Partner in Baupost’s Private Investment Group, focusing on real estate investments in Europe and the United States. Prior to joining Baupost, Mark served as an investor, asset manager, lender and workouts officer at Apollo Real Estate Advisors, Wexford Management, The Yarmouth Group and Citicorp Real Estate. Mark received his MBA from Columbia Business School and studied architecture at the Yale Graduate School of Art and Architecture. He earned a B.A. with a major in architecture from Columbia College.

Discussion Format • Group discussions run concurrently, several going on at the same time in separate rooms. Discussions take place in English. For more information visit: www.espanagri.org
Registration Notes
Registrations are for the full duration of the event and are not divisible into individual days or any other fraction of the full event. Registrations are not divisible amongst participants. We don’t authorise any third party websites to process registrations on our behalf.
Group Rate • Group rate is per person. Applies to groups of 3 or more participants. Need not be from the same company. Please note that registration fee reductions are not cumulative.
Discussion Co-chair Rates • Selectively available to industry leaders (investors, developers and lenders) involved in the program.
Payment • Cheque and methods of payment other than credit/debit cards incur an additional €75 charge. Cheque is only accepted up to 1 month before the event. Payable to “GRI”. Mail cheque to: GRI, Suite 02B137, 2 Eastbourne Terrace, London, W2 6LG, UK. Acceptable up to one month before event, not thereafter.
Onsite Registrations • Onsite Registrations paid in cash or credit/debit card will be charged €125 more than otherwise applicable fee.
Hotels • Lodging costs are not included in conference fees.
Terms & Conditions
Payment is required by return. Delegate fee must be paid in full prior to conference or admission is regrettably not possible. Confirmation will be sent on receipt of payment. If you have not received confirmation within 7 days of registration, please contact us to confirm your booking.
Cancellation and transfer to colleagues must be in writing. Transfer to colleagues is possible at any time. 90% refund will apply if cancellation notice is received by 6 weeks before the event. We regret no refunds are possible for cancellations received thereafter.
With due sensitivity the GRI may film or photograph this event for printed & electronic marketing purposes.
By attending the event you are giving consent to be filmed or photographed. No individually identifiable images will be used where requested.
