The maximum air pressure VIAIR 450P can achieve is 150PSI thanks to the magnetic 12Vmotor powering it. For safety however, this is usually not reached. An automatic switchcontrols the functioning of this compressor. When the pressure reaches 145PSI, the switchautomatically shuts the equipment down.

When this pressure falls to 120PSI, the switch restarts the compressor once again. Theautomatic shut down system also comes in handy when changing from one tire to the other.The compressor has a sensor that automatically shuts it down when not actively filling tiresprolonging battery life.
