A K-12 day school, it is modeled after the classical trivium in its Schools of Grammar (PreK-4 th ), Logic (5 th -8 th ), and Rhetoric (9 th -12 th ). Veritas Academy offers a rigorous, classical/liberal arts and sciences, college-prep curriculum at all course levels. Veritas esteems a strong work ethic, academic accountability, and vigorous class partici-pation from all students no matter the level of the courses taken. Therefore, course weightings are modest and sparingly applied.

Official transcripts provide both the weighted and unweighted GPAs. Weighted GPAs are given a weighting of 1.1; unweighted GPAs are calculated based on the values below:

As an intense, classical/liberal arts school, all courses at Veritas are administered at an honors level, as evidenced, in part, by Veritas students' performance on standard-ized tests (avg. ACT=30; avg. SAT=1917). Per the ACT Research Report Series, such high standardized test scores correlate with a high school GPA well above 3.9; this compares to an avg. Veritas GPA of 3.39 due to the school’s rigorous work loads and uncompromising grading standards.
