She began as a graphic designer in Argentina, and after a long journey, she discovered the magic of making paper by hand the best way of expressing herself artistically. In her workshop in Llorent de Vistalegre she makes cotton paper, linen, hemp and various types of recycled papers to achieve different results.

Each piece is unique and close to nature with an ecological manufacturing process combining art and crafts. With these original materials Claudia cre-ates notebooks, photo albums, postcards, restaurant menus and lamps.

You are always welcome to visit her workshop by appointment to observe the production process and chose materials and even experiment yourself with how to make a sheet of paper.

Comenzó como diseñadora gráfica en Argentina y tras un largo recorrido, encontró en la magia de hacer papel de forma artesanal, el mejor modo de ex-presarse artísticamente. Claudia fabrica en su taller en Lloret de Vistalegre papel de algodón, lino, abacá así como recicla varios tipos de retales de papel para lograr diferentes resultados. Le gusta ir probando distintas combinaciones de plantas fibrosas y aplicar-las para enriquecer las texturas en función del uso y el diseño de ese papel.

Cada pieza es única, cercana a la naturaleza y su pro-ceso de confección es totalmente ecológico combinan-do arte y artesanía. Con estos originales materiales, Claudia confecciona blocs de notas, álbumes de fotos, postales con fotos sobre papel reciclado de algodón, menús de restaurantes y lámparas.

Su taller puede visitarse -siempre bajo cita previa- para observar el proceso de producción y elección de materiales e, incluso, experimentar uno mismo cómo fabricar una hoja de papel.

After living in Madrid, Berlin and Austria, this young artist from Bilbao has recently moved to the island, where he used to spend summers as a child, to reconnect with his childhood and nature. For him, Mallorca is a source of emo-tional and visual resources with landscapes that evoke our animal instinct, the nature of man and the essence of the individual.

Trying to escape the pressures resulting from a professional dedication to art, Dario has clearly never taken leave of painting as a mere

hobby. However, despite this, over the past three years his creations have been very pro-lific using many different techniques. He likes to use bright colours in his works but acknowl-edges a special affectation for charcoal.

Dario is very emotionally connected to his work and admits that it is hard for him to let go of any of his paintings, as financial gain is not his goal, but rather having his work be a transmission of messages that act as a social vehicle.

Este joven pintor bilbaíno, después de haber vivido en Madrid, Berlín y Austria, se ha in-stalado recientemente en la isla, donde solía veranear de niño, para reencontrarse con la infancia y la naturaleza. Para él Mallorca es toda una fuente de recursos emocionales y vi-suales como sus paisajes que evocan nuestro instinto animal, la naturaleza del ser humano y la esencia del individuo.

Tratando de huir de las presiones que impli-can la dedicación profesional al arte, Darío tiene claro que nunca dejará de tomarse la

pintura como un mero hobby. Sin embargo, a pesar de ello, en los últimos tres años, su creación ha sido muy prolífica utilizando todo tipo de técnicas. Le gusta utilizar colores muy vivos en sus obras aunque reconoce tener una especial afección por el carboncillo.

Darío está muy vinculado emocionalmente a su obra, reconoce que le supone esfuerzos desprenderse de cualquiera de sus pinturas ya que su finalidad es la transmisión de men-sajes y actuar como un vehículo social.

> Seven young actors playing old centenarians who spend an evening on the stage of a theatre converted into a residence for artists. Some nights residents dress in their best finery and re-call, or invent, previous successes. The artists stoically endure a nurse that encourages them to sing children’s nursery rhymes aiming to boost their motor skills, but, when left alone, their in-domitable rock spirit proves that “Old rockers never die”: singing, dancing and shouting as much as their bones can take.

> La exposición es un homenaje a los cien años de trayectoria del Ferrocarril de Sóller. La muestra recoge antigua documentación perteneciente al Archivo del Ferrocarril, colecciones privadas y piezas que se han conservado en los talleres del tren. Un recorrido histórico que nos transportará al año 1912 cuando el Sr. Jeroni Estades propuso el proyecto que uniría Sóller y Palma mediante un trazado ferroviario.
