anything more than this comes from evil.

Honor.A verbal commitment by one person to
another agreeing to do (or not to do) something in the future.
Let what you say be simply ‘Yes’ or ‘No’;
anything more than this comes from evil.
--Lord Jesus Christ Matthew 5:37 ESV
When was the last time you made a promise to someone?•“Babayaran kita next week."•“Iiwanan ko na ang pagbibisyo!"•"I'll be there. Promise.“•“’Di ko sasabihin sa iba. Sikreto natin ‘to. Talaga, promise!”
Keeping your word is sometimes difficult, expensive, and inconvenient. But the cost of not doing so is even more expensive! It will ultimately cost you…
When we don't keep a promise to someone, It communicates to that person that
we don't value him or her. We are telling ourselves that we don't
value our own word.
We have chosen to put something else ahead of our commitment. Even when we break small promises, others learn that they cannot count on us.
Quotable quote
“Be Impeccable With Your Word. Speak with integrity. Say only what you mean. Avoid using the word to speak against yourself or to gossip about others. Use the power of your word in the direction of truth and love.”
King Solomon
It is better to say nothing than to make a promise and not keep it
(Ecclesiastes 5:5).
A man, without his word, is nothing.
