Dear Ms Irwin I would like to apply for the advertised paid work experience with UYMP. As a composer, it would be very beneficial to have the opportunity to work with an internationally recognised publisher and I am very keen to explore this area of music administration. I have great attention to detail which stems from having to work through my own compositions to make sure they look as professional as possible. I have worked as a web designer in the past and have created several professional looking website and I feel that this experience and eye for design would be very useful for the job. I also possess excellent IT skills and I am used to working with a range of Office suites and bespoke software. As a worker I would describe myself as extremely motivated and I do not like to leave things looking unfinished or unprofessional so I make sure that I put as much effort as I can into everything that I work on. The job specification also mentions adding instrumentation to works, which is something I would also be very good at as I have become accustomed to working very quickly on Sibelius whilst still producing high quality and professional looking documents. Lastly, I have attached the spreadsheet with my available times by adding an ‘X’ to boxes when I am free to work, which is any time during the specified period. Yours sincerely Oliver Pickup
