THE HOPE RIVER, upstream in the hills of Gordon Town
Gordon Town, Hope River, three days after Hurricane Ivan.
TAVERN: bridge over Hope River --- partially washed away
The Volume and Force of water destroyed part of this bridge.
Were there other factors involved?

These openings were blocked by debris.
Economic loss
Eroded !
Life on the river bank
Thirteen houses were washed away here.
House undermined by river.50 feet of backyard gone

Fortunately, people had time to evacuate.
No loss of life here but lives upturned.
