    12. Utilities

    Utilities is a module, which provides an interface between the citizens and the users of the

    OMMS. Following are the facilities in Utilities for better interaction:

    1) State News

    2) Discussion Forum

    3) Tender Notice

    4) Feedback

    5) Downloads

    13.1 State News

    On successful login, Index page (Figure 1.3) opens. Move the mouse over to Data Entry (Figure

    4.2). Bring the mouse onto Utilities and select State News

    13.1.1 Data Entry

    State News is a facility provided to add any news regarding PMGSY so that the citizens

    would be able to view it from citizen section state news column. Click on the link Add News to

    add new news, which would open the screen as in fig 13.3

    Fields Description

    1) Date: It is a read only field that will display current date2) Title: Enter the heading/title for the news3) Description: Enter the description of the news4) Picture: Browse the file i.e., a document or a picture that relates the news

    13.2 Discussion Forum

    On successful login, Index page (Figure 1.3) opens. Move the mouse over to Data Entry (Figure

    4.2). Bring the mouse onto Utilities and select Discussion Forum. This forum facilitates the user

    to start a new discussion, include new topics in it and post reply on the topics entered.

    This screen would display all the discussion forums available till date. To add a new discussion

    click on the link Create New Forum to open a screen as shown in fig 13.5 and enter the details

    Forum that is the Title of the forum and the Discussion is description of the forum. Click on submit

    button to insert the details of the forum.

    13.2.2 Add Topic to the Forum

    To add a topic in the forum click on the title of the forum as shown in fig 13.4 which would open a

    screen shown in fig 13.6.Click on the Start a New Topic link to open a screen as shown in fig

    13.7. Enter the title of the topic and the discussion subject for the discussion to continue.

    13.2.3 Post Reply for the Topic

    To post reply on any topic click on the title of the topic as shown in the fig 13.6 and click on the

    Post Reply linkas shown in the fig 13.8 to open a screen which would accept the reply as shown

    in the fig 13.9 and click on submit button.

    13.3 Feedback

    This is a facility provided for the citizens/users to enter their queries, Comments and Complaints.

    Once these are entered from the citizens section, any one to whom so ever the problem is

    concerned will be able to reply it from data entry section.

    13.3.1 Citizen Section

    Queries , Complaints and Comments can be registered from the citizen section as shown in the

    fig 13.10 click on feedback to open the feedback page as in fig 13.11

    13.3.1.1 Feedback Comment

    On Clicking the comment link as shown in the fig 13.11 will open a screen as shown in the fig

    13.12 . Enter the Contact Details and Feedback Details in the screen and click on submit

    button.

    13.3.1.2 Feedback Complaint

    On Clicking the complaint link as shown in the fig 13.11 will open a screen as shown in the fig

    13.13 . Enter the Contact Details and Feedback Details , select the state and district to which

    the complaint is concerned in the feedback details

    13.3.1.3 Feedback Query

    On Clicking the Query link as shown in the fig 13.11 will open a screen as shown in the fig 13.14

    . Enter the Contact Details and Feedback Details , In the feedback details select the radio

    button NRRDA/MRD if the query is related to NRRDA else select Radio button STATE.

    13.3.2 Data Entry

    On successful login, Index page (Figure 1.3) opens. Move the mouse over to Data Entry (Figure

    4.2). Bring the mouse onto Utilities and select Feedback.

    13.3.2.1 Feedback Reply

    To reply back for any query or comment click on the Reply link against the feedback given .

    This would open a screen as shown in Fig 13.16 Select Interim Reply if you still working on the

    problem which relates the query else select Final Reply if the work is done and enter the reply.

    13.5 Downloads

    Downloads is the facility provided to download blank excel sheets for data collection. Excel

    sheets for Intermediate monitoring , Master sheets and Rural Road plan can be downloaded.Toaccess downloads on successful login, Index page (Figure 1.3) opens. Move the mouse over to

    Data Entry (Figure 4.2). Bring the mouse onto Utilities and select Downloads. This would open a

    screen as shown in fig 13.17.

    13.6 Base Data

    Base data is a facility provided to both MRD and STATE Logins to enter the details of the data to

    be entered at state and district level for Road works , DRRP and core network .At MRD level user

    would be entering the details, as of how much data is to be entered by the state and at state level

    the details entered would pertain to the districts. To access base data screens, on successful

    login, Index page (Figure 1.3) opens. Move the mouse over to Data Entry (Figure 4.2). Bring the

    mouse onto Utilities and select Downloads. This would open a screen as shown in fig 13.18

    13.6.1 Base Data Edit

    To edit base data click on edit link as shown in figs 13.18 and 13.19 this will display text boxes

    facilitating the user to edit the record shown in 13.20 .click on update button to save the changes

    made in base data
