Alex

• Alex was a VISTA member and then a VISTA leader.

• He is currently using his Segal Education Award to attend law school in Boston.

• He plans on practicing civil rights law with an emphasis on disability.

Tiffany

• Tiffany is using her Segal Education Award at Truckee Meadows Community College. She expects to get an AA Degree.

Scott

• Scott is using his Segal Ed Award to learn American Sign Language.

• He took his first class through the Community Education Dept. of Great Basin College and will be taking ASL I in Spring semester.

Carly

• Carly will get her Segal Education Award in December. She is starting at Western Nevada College’s CAN program in January

• Voc Rehab is paying for her uniforms, books, childcare, etc.

• DRC is assisting her and also said she could take the course over two semesters.

Owen

• Owen expects to use his Segal Education Award to get a degree in Political Science and to work in the senate. White House bound?

• Travis’ interest is video editing. This semester he took an art class, a pre-requisite for the computer graphics class. TMCC does not offer what he wants

• He is interested in an online video editing course at Sessions College. While not a Title IV college, it is approved for Veterans so we hope he will be approved.
