Emerging Greek CRIS infrastructure - structure

• Each organisation operates its own institutional CRIS system• Policies, procedures and workflows at the institutional level

• All institutional CRIS systems are based on the same CRIS software platform

• CRIS software developed by EKT (Native CERIF database)

• A central aggregator will provide a unified point of access to the entire information

• CERIF XML is used for interoperability


Support to institutions• CRIS software – including documentation for installation, configuration, usage

• Software distribution system• Including certification procedure, notifications for new releases, versioning

• Semantics – vocabularies• CERIF standard semantics and additional vocabularies specific to the Greek environment

Greek CRIS infrastructure – development status

• Development started in September 2013 – ends December 2014

• Software platform in pilot in two institutions since summer 2014• National Hellenic Research Foundation, University of Patras

• Software distributed to further 13 institutions – November 2014

• Individual CRIS systems and aggregator in operation within 2015

• 11.945 registered researchers

• More than 45% of researchers have updated their profile themselves

• More than 90.000 publications added to profiles

• More than 222.000 publications linked with researchers

• High traffic after periodic user notifications

• Smooth user support through helpdesk
