① MDM’s main screen shows the Menu
options across the top and the Search part
to the bottom. The top is the standard
menu format.
② Clicking on the menu options will create
tabs for the Master Code search. Up to 6
tabs can be created.
③ Search tabs can be closed by clicking on
the x to the right.

2. Menu and screen layout - My Setting
① This is ‘My Setting’ screen.
② ‘My Info’ shows your information.
③ ‘My MDM Role’ lists your authority( Role)
as approver..
④ When logging into the MDM system for
the first time ‘My Menu Setting’ needs
to be set.
Left ‘Menu List’ are the available menus.
The right ‘My Menu’ are your selected
menus. Select only the needed menus
from the ‘Menu List’.
⑤ The up and down arrows can set the order
in the menu.
⑥ icon will add selected from ‘Menu List’
to the left ‘My Menu’.
Icon will remove items from ‘My Menu’.

2. Menu and screen layout - My Setting menu change
① Select items from the ‘Menu List’ then click
on icon and the menu will be added to
‘My Menu’.
② After changing the menu click on ‘Save’.
It will save after the confirmation.
③ The saved menu will apply after logout,
then login back to MDM.

① My Work Status lists all the pending
approvals, code requests and update status,
rejected, and drafts.
② Click on Requester, Approver, Rejecter to
see user information. (There can be many
Approvers and will list all the authorized
approvers.)
③ Shows User ID’s basic information.
④ Lists all the Approvers authorized to
approve the related Request. (Click on ID for
User information②)

① My Work Status lists all the pending
approvals, new code requests and update
status, rejected, and drafts.
② Workflow View shows the workflow process. (Request stage ~ Approval stage)
③ Shows the request user, approver for each
step for the related workflow.
④ You can check the ID’s basic information.

My Work Status > My Work History > & History View
① My Workflow History will open the screen
that will show your workflow history.
② The workflow history can be searched by
certain parameters.
- Master : Requested Master selection.
- Code : Requested Master Code.
- Action : Search by status Approve, Reject,
or Request.
- Duration : Search by time period.
③ Clicking on the individual item will show its
detailed history.
④ You can compare current requested data
and past requested data by selecting
different dates in history.

① This screen is for code search. Enter code
or use * for search.
② Click Enter or click on Search button to
begin search.
③ The results are listed in ascending order.
Click on the header to list in descending
order.
④ For example if you want to sort by Nation,
clicking on Nation will sort by Nation.
⑤ You can also see the total number of
results from your search.
⑥ Clicking on the search icon will open the
related search box.
- Starting word search : XXX*

Control Office, and Nation.
② Clicking on the button for Nation will
show the Nation Value List pop-up.
③ Click Enter or the ‘Search’ button will show
the results. You can also enter specific
code for search.
④ Search results will list in ascending order.
Double click on a code from the Value List
and the code will populate the field in the
main screen.

Ⅳ. New code creation
① This is the screen for new registration when clicking on the ‘Request’ button.
② icon shows required fields.
③ Fields not required will show in gray and will not be editable.
④ Clicking on ‘Confirm’ after entering Base Information will begin check for errors.
⑤ Empty required fields or duplicate errors will show and the related area will turn red.
⑥ Enter addition comments in the Comment field which will be sent to the person in charge at the HQ(Container EQ team/Inventory), AHQ(Equipment),EHQ(Equipment),SHQ(Equipment) by E-Mail. Only English will enter. (Max 70 characters.)

① You will see this screen when clicking the ‘Confirm’ button to enter Detail.
② ‘Temp Save’ will save as a draft status.
③ ‘Request’ button will begin check for errors in the entered information. Changes on the left icon will indicate the current status.
④ Additional information can be entered at the bottom Comment field which will be sent to the Approval group by E-Mail along with the other information. Only English can be entered with 70 characters max.

① ‘Temp Save’ will save the information in draft status. ‘Close’ will save our work temporarily and move to Draft in ‘My Work Status’ menu. You can continue at a later time to complete your request.

close the detail screen.

Ⅴ. Master Modification and Not In Use
① Equipment Facilities can be modified by
searching for the code in MDM. Select the
Facility to update.
② Only HQ(Container EQ Team/Inventory),
AHQ(Equipment), EHQ(Equipment),
SHQ(Equipment) has the authority to
update. Right-click on the Equipment
Facility to see the update menu.
- Right-click on Facility and click on Modify to
open Equipment Facility Modify Detail screen.

Ⅴ. Master Modification and Not In Use
① This icon indicates a mandatory field.
Make sure these fields are filled for both
new entries and updates.
② ‘Use’ field indicates Use or Non-use of the
Equipment Facility Code. For new codes
the default is ‘Y’ , but if the code should
no longer be used it should be changed to
‘N’ which is checked for certain approvals.
③ Before clicking on the ‘Modify’ button you
can enter any comments you want for the
approver in the bottom field.

When the E-mail is sent to the Approver and
the request is approved, the changes will be
applied.

① The authorized Approver receives an E-
mail notice for the requested changes on
the Equipment Facility.
② Shows the requested information for the
Facility master.
③ ‘Click here to go My Work Status’ is a link
that will open MDM’s My Work Status.

requests through the E-mail.

② Shows the requested information.
③ Clicking on the link will open My Work

Facility Code, Description, Request Location,

Requestor. It shows that the requested
master code has been rejected.
② Shows the requested information on the
master code. The Comment may show the
reason for reject.
③ Clicking on the link will open My Work
Status and you can check those requests
that were ‘Rejected’.
