Working in this industry as a publicist I've come to realize that most upcoming entertainers and companies don't fully understand the complete definition , roles and benefits of hiring a publicist. So in this article I will give everyone insight on how a publicist can help your company and career grow to its fullest potential.

•Definition of a publicist, (PR) , Public Relations- A basic definition can be described as a person that helps a companyor entertainer reach the general public. We develop storys around your brand or Current project to gain good media to grow your brand awareness.

Roles- Some roles of a publicist include developing a plan or story to attract the public and to build your brand.We place television, radio, newspaper and magazine interviews.We also write up press release highlighting

a current project or major product launch.We send those press releases to fanmagazines, newspaper columnists and weuse new social media strategies such as emailblasting and we announce on all social media outlets. Other tactics we might use are developing podcast, planning special events,seminars, or meet and greets. All of this is done to generate good press and to establish a media presence.

Benefits- The overall benefits of having apublicist can bring in a new audience to yourbrand! We help your image grow in a positiveway and we attract people to your brandthat may have not been interested before. Our mane purpose is to help your companyor brand grow and get noticed.

After reading this article I hope people havea better understanding of how important itis to have a publicist on your team. Its veryimportant to have a certain image in the media to grow your company or brand and itis our job to make that happen!

Adrian Harvey, a.k.a. Xspo, is the newest artist from chicago making major moves. Xspo was

born in Chicago, IL and raised in the west suburbs. He was raised by his mother and father who

worked steadfastly to instill in him the principles of hard work and determination. Xspo attended

Proviso West High School, where he was introduced to a crowd of hate & love, being titled the best musical/artist in his school his freshmen year, there had to be hate here and there. Being a

producer & rapper,Xspo landed a hit (produced by him) on the air

waves which gained his recognition in the school, to where the high school students who were in to music where always referred to him for a beat and

studio time (Xspo Engineers & Mixes His Own Music Also) In High school, he furthered his

music career, met life long friends, and gained the support of fans and peers as he independently sold

copies of his music. Xspo gained a strong relationship with 107.5FM, a local radio station in

Chicago where he and his team would get spins weekly. 

Taken a break from his team from little altercations, Xspo put himself to work on his first single "As Real As They Get". After the release of

the song, it hit the air waves and spread widely thru the internet. Being featured on multiple sites, Xspo's single "As Real As They Get" was a hit.

With That being said, Xspo began to work on his debut mixtape "Love Fame Money" which is

currently climbing the mixtape charts and is titled to soon be a classic.
